This is...not a good style matchup. At all.

Ugas is not an aggressor and neither is Keef.

This is expected to be a stinker that goes the full 12.

This fight isn't killing it. It's playing keep away. PBC should be congratulated on some of their recent fights. They can close the year strong, too. I'm just not going to pat them on the back for making a fight like Ugas vs Thurman. Or Canelo vs. Jermell.
        1. It doesn’t matter what you want.

        2. Boots is not signed with PBC and never was. Haymon can’t control what Boots nor his team does.

        3. No one is asking you to. They have plenty of grateful fans that will do that.

Yes, I should have definitely mentioned Showtime. TopRank and ESPN not doing too bad either. Good year of boxing.

Nice scrap indeed...but, interim belt on the line? Shouldn't be.

That's a great fight. Shame they couldn't get it on the Spence-Crawford undercard like it would have been back in the day.

Thurman is ranked #1, Ugas ranked #3.

And it's unlikely Spence fights the winner.

Interim belt is appropriate.... winner will get upgraded to champ.

I’m hoping you will be wrong but I suspect you will be right on this fight. Good post.

What do mean non-aggressor, he robots forward all night which is what he will do with Thurman and Keith will use angles and boxing.

Personally, I can't think of a Thurman fight that wasn't entertaining. So, I think this will be good. Chances are, though, that it does go 12. Keith hasn't knocked anybody out since Julio Diaz (Collazo doesn't count) and Ugas isn't a KO guy either.

This is the fight I was expecting because they're both name fighters & former champions (hence more $), both are with PBC, and it's the last of the old guard in the division since Crawford and Spence are done at 147 after their fight(s). Thurman and Ugas need a fight like this before taking on the young guns, or retiring (in the case of the loser), after extended ring absences.

I expect it to be a good, competitive fight. I see Keith winning.

As for the interim belt, this makes sense given all the belts will be vacated soon.
