DLH was completely drained and went up against the P4P king. Tito was perfectly comfortable (albeit a little soft) and went up against a 40 year old RJJ who fought at his lowest weight in years. Can't you see the difference?

That's not true about the money, Floyd came back for the glory.

But seriously, I have no problem with Tito jumping back in the ring, and I never did. The thing I have a problem with is that Tito didn't take his comeback seriously, and was ONLY in it for the money. He had little to no real desire to win or become a contender/champion again.

When Vitali came back, he was in shape and continued to fight like a serious fighter. When Floyd came back he was in shape and took a winnable fight in Marquez.

When Tito came back, he didn't want to shed the weight to be serious, so he took a catchweight fight with a man he knew he couldn't beat. That's my opinion.
there would be no way that either hbo or showtime ppv would buy this fight..they all know that fernando vargas has been done for years now..since his early 20's he's been shot and him fighting trinidad might get sent to the hospital for good..no way in hell this fight happens

        Oh the irony.
Please don't misunderstand me. Maybe I'm saying this wrong.

When I say it makes sense, I don't mean this makes sense to me, to you, or to the boxing community.

What I mean is that it would make sense to me that these two would be interested in a rematch together.

Given what these two are interested in, doesn't it make sense?

        Maybe my wording is confusing.

I think you're underestimating how low they will go.

no point for this. Vargas would have no chance and Trinidad wouldn't even care for this fight

I can see that, but Vargas would and the money would be there.

Let's say this, if this fight was presented to Tito, there'd probably be at least $10 million in it for him. Would he turn that down, for what would probably be easy work?

I don't think it would happen.
