You do know that Floyd challanged Vargas before the 2nd Mosley fight and Vargas said NO, right? NO one talks about that much either

I heard that Vargas got up to 260 pounds before he came back to fight Mayorga, I dont know if thats true but either way I dont think he is now or can ever be conditioned good enough to fight again. Stay retired Varg.

That's very ignorant to say for someone who calls himself a ''boxing fan''.

Wow, what a hostile ass post, son. No need to go there with it, all i'm saying is the man did well in many many other fights, and was entertaining to watch, and should be appreciated as an athlete, because regardless of you thinking the guy is a bum, I'm almost certain to a T, that neither you or I could get in the ring with that bum and not come out a few teeth shorter than when we went in. Give the dude his props, because he did good for a long time, and like all the greats, came to the end of his era.

I don't mind if he wants to come back providing he doesn't fight top guys. He is exciting and all but he doesn't have it any more to hang with the top guys regardless of the weight class. If he comes back to fight some softish opposition because he just misses the sport then I'm cool with it.

I'd have a problem if he wanted to get in there with a guy who could seriously *** him up though.

Vargas doesn't need to fight again. Stick to being in movies like Alpha Dog.

He lost to a bloated and way past prime Mayorga. Vargas should stay retired and just work out to get in better shape.
