  • Good to see Marshall come out on top... even if it was an ugly fight... dezurn making it that way.
And whatever judge scored it a draw must've stopped at the pub one time too many before the fight.

    • The black one dominated the 10th round I just had a watch but can't bring myself to watch the rest I skipped to the end

      • The fight between Savanha and Franchon didn’t help womens boxing. Franchon has zero technique and just looked to tackle Savanha the entire fight. Marshall has so many flaws, her distance is terrible, as well as leaning with her head. Franchon is just really really bad.

And having to listen to Shields, aka Pillow Fists, aka Fake GWOAT, screaming through the entire fight made me want to puke.

How some judge scored the fight a draw is just crazy. Franchon looked like she was trying to swat bubbles in the air. Marshall throws a punch and is then on top of her opponent. She desperately needs a coach who knows how to teach because Fury’s father is clueless if Marshall’s flaws haven’t been corrected by this time. Terrible fight! Franchon, please stop claiming you’re a boxer. Marshall, get a real coach. Pillow Fists, STFU!!

        • Terrible fight. First you have Franchon, who looks like she’s (a) fighting a ghost, (b) punching like someone drowning, (c) looking like Aunt Jemima and a sumo wrestler

Second, Savanha Marshall, who dips her head to punch and then throws a punch and is immediately on top of her opponent. Who in the world calls themselves a trainer and doesn’t fix this obvious flaw?

Third, you have Shields, aka Pillow Fists, aka The Fake GWOAT, saying Franchon was winning the wrestling match. This the same Shields, who, fighting mediocre opponents hasn’t had a KO or TKO in 6 years.

Last, if womens boxing is to survive, please stop putting on these frauds who call themselves fighters. Also, Franchon, stick to what you know…..sewing and never again call yourself a boxer.

          • Fight was disappointing but the right person won, Franchon looked terrible rushing in head first like a young Tim Bradley and clinching like a prime Devin Haney. She literally didn't throw a straight shot the entire fight was just jab grab and hammer fist hook to the side of the head over and over but with a low work rate. Savannah landed the cleaner shots but she didn't look good either no way she ever beats Shields as a pro, ever.

            • Both these ladies looked like crap horrible display of boxing.

Only good female fighters are Estrada, shields and serrano.

Crews-Dezurn more interested in tackling her opponent. I. Felt like their heads and biceps made more contact than fists during exchanges.

I say all of this and I enjoy women's boxing.
It was awful to watch. I think maybe it's hard, especially in 2 minute rounds, to look good against someone who only wants to hold. Crews-Dezurn was the classic example of ineffective aggression. I think the referee, if he got on top of things earlier/at all, could have made the fight better with some holding warnings. I mean, some of the rounds were 50% plus of holding. Marshall won it wide imo, but did not enhance her rep.

A strange thing with Marshall is that she might as we'll not have her height, as she crouches down to average size. She needs to stand tall, throw that jab from distance, move and control the range, then set up those power shots. She has tools she is not using, kind of like an early career Tyson Fury, who was leaving most of his tools in the tool box and having wars with journeyman because of that.

Side-note, Claressa screaming from the sidelines was somehow even more irritating than when Tony Bellew does it. Nash out

I agree with all accounts. I'm not sure that I've seen a Crews-Dezurn fight that was "clean". Marshall won clearly and she could have made it much easier for herself and for the viewers to watch.

She gave away her height, fell into her punches and kept her lead hand down. I was shocked there wasn't a major cut as a result of a clash of heads because both were asking for it all fight.
