Why was Kell Brook attacked for fighting Golovkin and was never given any props?

Brook fought him because Khan signed to fight Canelo.

But what should have happened was Canelo-GGG and Khan-Brook.

But at the time, Canelo didn’t want GGG and Khan definitely didn’t want Brook.

Both fights were a waste of time.

People were expecting Golovkin-Eubank Jr to be announced. But as expected Eubank ducked the fights.

Brook took that fight because he got a massive payday and got to keep his title even if he lost. All reward no risk.

Golovkin was at the height of his power. Nothing interesting about the fight. Just a cash out.

Directly after fight, it wasn't obvious how much that took out of brook, the talk was more about how brook might have damaged ggg? The talk was of how well brook did and that brook could move back down to 147, no problem?
But injuries disrupt your momentum and training, so brook not able to perform quite at same level again

Golovkin was walking in with his hands down. Brook didn't have to power to trouble Golovkin with his hardest shot.

            Bingo.

We were expecting GGG to fight Eubank Jr. Eubank ducked the fight. When GGG-Book was announced, the response was "What is this horse ****?"

this is widely regarded as the dumbest move in boxing history

Kell was a blue chip prospect at the time of the fight. it was so ******, never seen anything like it tbh. Even Floyd Mayweather Sr gave props to Kell Brook. Saying dude had potential to be great. he can box. etc

Prince Hamed was huge on Kell.

In other words, Hearn and Brook were desperate for fights, but not a single one from the PBC camp was interested.
Thurman in particular was gaining momentum and was the real target, but anyone could have gotten it
                but they're not interested.

And at that time Hearn was severely criticized for lining up bums for Brook after securing a belt held by Porter.
The last bum Brook fought was a Canadian, I don't remember his name, and fans have had enough.

Hearn and Brook wanted PBC guys but were turned down, and it so happened that GGG's negotiations with Eubank went sour.
The rest is boxing history and is general knowledge.
True. Eddie offered 4 mill to Thurman and Garcia in unifications but they were turned down to instead fight each other for 1 mill apiece. There was the Vargas unification, but he wanted far too much money. Vargas was offered more than double his biggest payday and even had his team asking why he turned down such a great offer and ask for more. It didn't leave much in the pot for Kell.

That's the thing with cowards and frauds. They disgrace this sport as they dictate it and turn it into a cesspit. It's a sport for gladiators. Not limp-wristed mental midgets.

It was a unnecessary move. He ruined his decent career. That injury made his other eye socket soft as well and then Spence completely ended him. He was naturally smaller than GGG. He landed good punches but hadn't chance.

Charlo is bigger than Nelo. He is straight weight-bully.

                  Your example is nonsense here.

There was no way Eddie was letting him fight Thurman anyway Thurman would have beat him. To me Brook was over rated. Eddie always put him in with journyeman. Then he finally got the Porter shot, which was his only great win and even then i remember that being a **** fight with a lot of clinching. After that i thought finally he might be stepping up, yet what happened, try to blame pbc if you want but what happened is he went back to UK and over the next 2 years as champ defences were vs Jo Jo Dan, Gavin and Bizier awful 3 match ups you can't tell me outside of pbc or haymon fighters those were the best 3 he could find. A lot of his career (like all ready mentioned) revolved on basically being obsessed over khan as that was always going to be his biggest payday. Reason fight didn't happen earlier is Brook always thought he was bigger than he is when he wasn't anywhere close to being a known name as Khan.

Then came GGG, should he have took it, probably not, Eddie made it cause he needed a big fight asap. But i don't 100% believe if he didn't his career would have gone much better. Like i mentioned before that he had 1 good name and 1 good win, a scrappy fight against Porter.

He then quit against Spence in his hometown. People tried to blame the GGG fight but Spence broke his OTHER eye it wasn't even the same one

Khan was fully washed by the time they fought, they both were, just made Brook look that much better that Khan was even more washed and done with boxing.

Another reason why i don't give him much credit as few interviews he mentioned drained at 147 and time to move up. When he eventually did move up to 154 or the catchweights above 147, he went back to doing what he does fight journeymen, Zerafa, DeLuca, Rabchenko. He fought literally no one half decent even at 154, even when if i remember right Hurd and Harrison were champions and im sure i remember both of them saying they were willing to fight Brook. Brook never even tried and claimed Charlo wasn't a big enough name.

Because Golovkin wasn't brave enough to hop one weight class, let alone two like Brook. To give Brook credit for jumping two classes to fight the scariest guy in the sport (and win a couple rounds to boot) would have made Golovkin look like a chump as he said anyone from 154-168 but wouldn't do 155 for Canelo or 168 for Ward.

Long story short. A little ***** like Kell Brook made Golovkin tuck his tail and identify as fairy. What a time in the sport. I long for those times. Golovkin fans were suffocating. Second worst to Pacquiao fans.
