Carl Froch is beyond overrated....

Wlad was 41, 18 months inactive and coming off a loss. Solid win but it wasn’t that impressive. Froch’s wins over Bute, Pascal who were undefeated and in their prime are far more impressive.
100% agreed. I believe beating lucien bute and arthur abraham were superior wins, than aj beating wladmir klitschko....some ukranian bum (wtf even is ukraine, right?)
Here's the thing..ive argued these points before...
wlad, going into that fury fight, was probably just bored and underwhelmed by it all. 10 years as a champ, all these gob****e mandatories, dealing with fury's bs and threats of cancelling the fight. not to mention fury previously faking an injury to delay the fight..and all the while wlad had his first and only child at home with some skanky american wh*re of a baby mama causing trouble (look up hayden's history, she was battered by her american crackwh*re ****** bf later). Wlad won sole custody of his daughter and then he fought aj. So i think by the time the aj fight came, we saw a much happier, content, motivated version of wlad, with nothing to lose, zero pressure. just there for the good of boxing, enjoying it all.
you'd read this and think i wanted fury to lose, but that's not how it was. Seeing the way clowns like froch say 'oh but aj could never beat a younger wlad', forget that the younger inexperienced version of wlad had 3 losses and he never avenged them.
wlad used his experience in that fight against aj, the way he forced aj's hand to tire him. younger champions don't have that type of boxing iq.
I know you AJ fans are salty cause Froch is sticking to AJ atm. I don’t agree with everything Froch says and he’s overly harsh in some respects but there is some truth to what he’s saying. Joshua was somewhat of a manufactured champion. Hearn matched him very smartly pre-Ruiz.Comment

However one important point about this is, modern sports science and nutrition (something wlad himself has a degree in, or is it a masters, i forget).
the guy is very fit and active, even now he's fitter than most 30 year old men. We've seen boxers at 35 turn into a tub of lard with nothing left in the tank.
basically an inexperienced aj fought an experienced but past it wlad..
whilst fury fought a version of wlad that was mentally not all there for various reasons (and actually, i LOVED the way tyson fury mentally destroyed him, i was rooting for fury the whole time, but i admir wlad and think it's unfair that people just think he was at his best when fury beat him).
bro i despite froch because he's a hater. you think im doing this because i had some type of magical love for aj. i support aj, but over the years ive supported and enjoyed whyte's fights more than aj. you know why? he's just more personable and funny to me, his journey and story is better to follow. i can barely relate to aj. chisora im more indifferent about with regards to his actual fights, but he's a character. Fury was always a character but he came with severe bitterness and narcissism too that put me off supporting him.
i dont understand how anyone out there can think positively about froch in anyway. the guy is an absolute peice of sh**. He's hated on amir khan for years too. WHY? just because it's the easy target and the way to galvanise, i guess..the alt right (afterall he is edl himself). that factors into my opinion of him.
he wasnt trash talking aj after the wlad fight was he? he waited for the opportune time, which shows what he's really about...a coward.

bute, jermain taylor, abraham, glen johnson...
....
if i was to compare them to guys from more familiar divisions in recent years, id not put them above, say...collazo, devon alexander type of levels. it isnt much different to Usyk's run in the CW division...if i was to put Ward in the same category as Usyk (as elite) and then look at their opponents levels in their run up, it's obv that was a weak division compared to the other divisions. look at LHW, that is stacked AF.

Wlad was an old man in boxing terms, he was showing signs of decline against Jennings, he was past it against Fury and he was washed when he fought AJ.

Froch is always talking sh** about fighters, he’s like a bitter old man, you’ve never made a thread like this before though, it’s blatantly because he’s targeting AJ. C’mon man you can’t deny that.
I think a lot of you Joshua fans need to realise AJ wasn’t the fighter you thought he was tbh. Froch is definitely being harsh and it’s likely because of the McCracken situation, however, he isn’t completely wrong, Froch does have the better legacy.Comment

if you beat arthur abraham and lucien bute..
you get knighted
you get an entire church claiming the book of Revelation fortold your ascent.
they say you have the holy spirit in you
to me, as a normal person with a degree of sanity about me...i call it excessive, i say he's overrated.
if he was humble and people said he's sh**, id say he's underrated and people are wrong.
so it's all relative really. right now, go upto the average british granny and ask her how much she rates carl froch
"LEGEND IS CARL THE CRUSADER FROCH"
"THE MOST HONEST MAN IN BRITAIN"
"BETTER THAN SIMON JORDAN AND ROY KEANE"
"WE WON THE WAR BECAUSE OF FROCH"
"I NAMED BY GREAT GRANDAUGHTER AFTER CARL FROCH"
to me, that is just a bit excessive and i have to express myself somewhere. Why should i get blocked for just saying 'he's a bit overrated'
i know Jesus himself hyped up Lucien Bute, but come on, Jesus was a bit hyped up himself. not like he ever conquered anything except death....and tyson fury did that at least 3 times against wilder.

The Cobra has a respectable resume: 33 fights, 24 Knockouts. Only losses were to Andre Ward, and Mikkel Kessler (but beat Kessler in a rematch)He's very smug when he dismisses the weaknesses in other men's resume's. They all praise him, call him a legend, underrated, honest etc.
What exactly are froch's acheivements (in relative terms, i mean on the world level).
Kessler lost in any big fight he had...but he beat Froch once.
Froch lost to Dirrell, Ward and Kessler. That's so fkin average to me. I can't believe a guy on that level gets talked about like a legend.
Carl Froch's achievements also include:
Competing in the prestigious Super Six Tournament, and came up 2nd.
Got a revenge win vs. Kessler 2013
Beat Arthur Abraham 2010
Beat George Groves twice back to back 2013 & 2014
Big comeback win vs. Jermaine Taylor 2009
Classic Battle vs. Glen Johnson 2011
Beat Yusaf Mack 2012
Beat Lucian Bute 2012
Beat Jean Pascual 2008
5 star win vs. Andre Dirrell 2009
Captured the WBC Title in 2008 vs. Pascual
Lost it to Kessler in 2010, then won it back the same year vs. Abraham
Defended the WBC Belt all the way up to 2011, and lost it to Andre Ward in the Super Six Tournament.
Won the IBF title in 2012 vs. Yusaf Mack
Revenge win and WBA title vs. Kessler in 2013
Defends both IBF and WBA Title vs. George Groves both by Knockout.
Yah, i think Carl Froch has done enough for Boxing. He may be smug, but he definitely put in his work.
