    Carl Froch is beyond overrated....

He's very smug when he dismisses the weaknesses in other men's resume's. They all praise him, call him a legend, underrated, honest etc.

What exactly are froch's acheivements (in relative terms, i mean on the world level).
Kessler lost in any big fight he had...but he beat Froch once.
Froch lost to Dirrell, Ward and Kessler. That's so fkin average to me. I can't believe a guy on that level gets talked about like a legend.

Froch had one of the hardest run in a row with top contender. No one for a long time and at the time had so many as he faced especially coming from the UK. He talked but he backed it up. He was nothing special in a specific area but knew how to make it work for him.

That first Kessler fight could had gone either way and he did not loose that Dirrell fight, it was close and could had gone either way too. After he got beaten by Ward he had another good run.

Solid fighter if you ask me but not a legend.

A great British fighter. Legendary in Britain.

Great chin, iron will and stamina.

That said, quite poor in ability and not a great ring IQ. Got exposed at world level. Got a home cooked decision against Andre Dirrell and taken to school by Dirrel.

No PEDS testing and questionable handwraps against Bute.

I actually do agree Froch’s resume is overrated, he has multiple very good B level wins but nothing that special.

He’s still levels above AJ though in terms of resume- we all know this is why you made this thread.

Froch as a fighter was very limited physically. 2 left feet. swings punches from the hips. opponents can't miss his head.

however he is a true fighter with a great engine. he will almost always be down on the cards as he rallies from behind to win a fight.

the exact opposite of Joshua really. who has all the fundamentals and is quick. but lacks heart and engine. so he will always be winning then lose in the end

Not overrated at all imo, depends how seriously you take the hof i suppose but even if you don't think he should be in it you can't deny he was one of the best smw fighters of his generation.

You know, back in the day you'd be Red k'd to death and put on block ASAP for crap threads like this. Overated my ass. Tell that to the 120,000 screaming Brits that showed up to see him knock George Groves the heck out.

Carl Frotch is jealous of the mighty king Tyson Fury.

Mr Frotch how do you beat Andre Ward?

He part of Fraudroom's A*SELICKING Joshua protection team

he lost to dirrell mate, he got the home decision. Kessler was never a great, id put him in the same category as a jean pascal. So beating him aswell as losing to him sums up froch's level as a fighter.
As for his run...sorry, lucien bute, arthur abraham and the like were rdog average. it's like amir khan beating devon alexander..people rated the performance but they knew it was irrelevant because there was a higher level amir was never going to reach with the likes of porter, brook, thurman, spence, garcia. it's the same with froch.
plus he boxed in a weak era/division.

100% agreed. I believe beating lucien bute and arthur abraham were superior wins, than aj beating wladmir klitschko....some ukranian bum (wtf even is ukraine, right?)

Here's the thing..ive argued these points before...
wlad, going into that fury fight, was probably just bored and underwhelmed by it all. 10 years as a champ, all these gob****e mandatories, dealing with fury's bs and threats of cancelling the fight. not to mention fury previously faking an injury to delay the fight..and all the while wlad had his first and only child at home with some skanky american wh*re of a baby mama causing trouble (look up hayden's history, she was battered by her american crackwh*re ****** bf later). Wlad won sole custody of his daughter and then he fought aj. So i think by the time the aj fight came, we saw a much happier, content, motivated version of wlad, with nothing to lose, zero pressure. just there for the good of boxing, enjoying it all.

you'd read this and think i wanted fury to lose, but that's not how it was. Seeing the way clowns like froch say 'oh but aj could never beat a younger wlad', forget that the younger inexperienced version of wlad had 3 losses and he never avenged them.
wlad used his experience in that fight against aj, the way he forced aj's hand to tire him. younger champions don't have that type of boxing iq.
