British, Commonwealth and European. How does beating 3 crappy guys prepare you for a real fight?

Regional belts only matter to Euro fans. People in the Americas, Africa, Australia, and Asia don't give a crap, nor should they.

Fighters would be better off just worrying about fighting different styles while they're coming up.

Move up the ranks. It used to be like that in the USA too with the US title (doesn't exist anymore)

I'd prefer to see guys actually move up the ranks instead of feasting on club fighters until they can pick up a vacant belt.

i guess some guys only have ambition to become a local champ, then maybe a top guy in your country & then a euro title, which is not that high as most countries dont really have very many if any good boxers, then if good enough try to go for a world title stint where u compete v americans mexicans japs etc

Working your way up seems logical to me.

if u are not a great boxer but say a hard worker, aiming for a local or national title is a big success, its something to go for & i think some guys even do fairly well going for it too cash wise too, well enough to make it worth their while anyway

Their 12 round championship fights that prepare you a lot more than knocking over overmatched opponents. Those belts have real history too.

Fury went that way, Froch went that way, Lewis went that way, a lot of our higher calibre fighters benefited from taking the traditional route.
