Charles Martin seems like a decent fight, a recognisable name for Anderson's record.

Martin does seem a bit worn though, but perhaps he can do better than people think.

It was cool seeing Roy Jones interviewing Jared Anderson and hanging out with him riding a horse.

What you say about the truly great champions is true but, by definition, truly great champions are rare. The historical norm is not for young champs, I would say. Nor is it fair to have an expectation that Jared Anderson will be great. He might end up good enough to be champ, but throwing him in again the elite end of the division right now has a significant risk of failure.

Im have to give the 314 a chance. Martin definitely has a chance. He's a tough SOB regardless, and he flashes at times. He wont be intimidated either.

I thought I was the only one that didn't think Anderson was very good. He is young, and athletic, but needs to improve his overall skill. They need to raise him up slowly, or he is going to get beat. I personally don't think he wins a belt ever.

Charles Martin's entire career changed because he wore the wrong sized shorts vs Joshua. After "walking the Earth like a God", Martin was so distracted by his own greatness that he bought a pair of boxing shorts 4 sizes too small for him. That cost him the fight, and he never recovered from that. Such a shame to see what would have been an incredible career ruined to a pair of undersized boxing shorts. Nash out

You nailed it, so true some forget some were not even around to witness it but yes was a time when fighters took fights. Man was it a great time to be a fan. And what now ? Now the men in the ring are not made of the same stuff? It is impossible to get a fight against a real challenge with a chance to grow and most important prove yourself, it was in their blood to spill some blood to test themselves they did not need a promo man to tell them who to fight they looked for fights not excusses. Good point buddy.

Hasn’t fought a soul yet, doesn’t look spectacular to me, I watch his fights when I can, but I don’t see what every one else does, I know he’s young, but right now not sure if he beats a 44 year old King Kong ?

Seth Mitchell looked good knocking out bums too.

Let’s see how Anderson does against Martin.

You a fool too! I was 16 in a National PAL tournament in Niagra Falls in 1984 and although I had my own fight to secure the one person I witnessed take a fighter not just out, but off both feet and he was out! I had never seen this type of power displayed and he beat my team mate also from Detroit and I would go home and tell everyone what I witnessed but not much attention was given because they hadn't witnessed what I had. I would continue to speak about this person even though he failed to make the olympic team, and in a short time he would take the world by storm and become one of the best to do it, sound familiar, well it should he's known as Iron Mike Tyson.
