I've been very critical of him in the past, but I'm just hoping he gets help now.

Hopefully, he has people around him who love him and can reach him and convince him to get help.

It seems like those that (are) were around, took off when he started struggling in the media’s eyes. I hope he gets better, gets help, but I do not wish to see him in the ring when he is unstable!
