Exactly it makes WAYYYYYYY more sense for GBP to make a PPV fight of Benavidez vs Mungia.. the Berlanga fight will still be there if Mungia losses.. and Benavidez is not some major power puncher, he couldn’t even put away chinny Plant.. Mungia chin is iron cast..

Mungia stock only goes UP in facing Benavidez, and it will sell very well, much better numbers then Benavidez vs Plant did, guaranteed!!!

I'd venture to say that Plant is a bit more elusive than Munguia.

But you know what would be even better? If GBP got back on Showtime after Dazn finally throws up the white flag and ESPN renews with Arum and TR. Then Showtime (CBS) approaches ESPN and tells them that since they work together sharing games in other sports leagues like MLB, NFL, NCAA football and basketball, why don't they just treat boxing like all the other sports leagues. Eliminate all sides of the streets and fighters can go fight on any network that makes sense. All fighters must fight a minimum of 3-4 times a year and do away with all sanctioning bodies.

Like everyone says it's his lack of understanding the US marketS. He first came in 2018 and went str8t at the black market by attacking PBC and thinking he was going to steal all Haymon's fighters. That didn't work and he burnt his bridge with that market. Then he tried the Mexican market by stealing Canelo from GBP. Then he lost Canelo and the Mexican market when he realized that they were going to ride or die with Oscar over Eddie all day. Now he's trying to woo the Mexi an market back by promoting Edgar Belanga. But he doesn't know that the New York Puerto Rican market and the Californian Mexican market are such polar opposites of each other that it would never work. He probably thought that because they both spoke Spanish and had the same hair color then it wouldnwork. What an idiot!

He absolutely did but I just find it so odd that he doesn’t mention black Americans as a fan base while mentioning every other ethnic group in the usa that has a hand in boxing.
