I believe that they will do the same as they did with Tank and Ryan, with Showtime as the lead promotion and distribution, and also being offered on DAZN. Its a big money fight, so I 'm sure PBC and GBP want to make it happen before Mungia takes an inevitable loss.

Just imagine Mungia taking the much lesser money fight in Berlanga, and possibly losing. Then there's no interest in a fight between him and Benavidez, and they both lost a lucrative opportunity.

Exactly it makes WAYYYYYYY more sense for GBP to make a PPV fight of Benavidez vs Mungia.. the Berlanga fight will still be there if Mungia losses.. and Benavidez is not some major power puncher, he couldn’t even put away chinny Plant.. Mungia chin is iron cast..

Mungia stock only goes UP in facing Benavidez, and it will sell very well, much better numbers then Benavidez vs Plant did, guaranteed!!!

They didn't do it for Charlo vs. Munguia though? Is Benavidez vs. Munguia on the same scale as Tank vs. Ryan, even with Munguia's poor performance on 6/10?

They didn't do it with Charlo and Mungia because that was a last minute demand made by Oscar to get out of the fight. The negotiations were a done deal, until he threw that in after the fact. He didn't want him to face Charlo at that point in time. I'm sure he would love to now that Charlo has been inactive for over 2 years, the same way Cinnabon is trying to rush, all of a sudden, to lock in the fight he's avoided for at least 4 or 5 years.

Mungia performance was poor, but exciting, which is what matters most to the Mexican fan base. Money will pour in for two all action Latino fighters, and Oscar is trying to pounce before his Trash Collector Mungia gets knocked out for lesser money.

If I am Hearn, because of a good working relationship with Canelo, I would sign Mugunia & offer him the berlanga and Mugunia package for the 3 fight PBC deal I see Canelo taking on Charlo Spence & Andrade, dodging Morrell Jr and Benavidez ( his legit threats) @168. Berlanga would be the weakest option @ 168 Canelo style lately n could market it off Puerto Rico vs Mexico rivalry.
