Comments Thread For: Hearn: Oscar De La Hoya's A F-----' Complete Idiot; [Munguia] Is Probably Worst Managed Career I've Ever Seen

NEW YORK - Eddie Hearn had to laugh at the immediate reaction from Oscar De La Hoya following this weekend's DAZN main event. Edgar Berlanga was receptive to the idea of a future showdown versus Jaime Munguia, a bout that has escalated in fan

If PBC does not desire a "co-promotion" for Benavidez vs. Munguia, does Oscar let Munguia fight Benavidez?

Both doing a great job of promoting a fight between their fighters. Best way to sell a fight is with some beef even if it is only between the promoters

I believe that they will do the same as they did with Tank and Ryan, with Showtime as the lead promotion and distribution, and also being offered on DAZN. Its a big money fight, so I 'm sure PBC and GBP want to make it happen before Mungia takes an inevitable loss.

Just imagine Mungia taking the much lesser money fight in Berlanga, and possibly losing. Then there's no interest in a fight between him and Benavidez, and they both lost a lucrative opportunity.

Hearn going off the rails. He’s not handling the defection of tainted beef bro well at all.

They didn't do it for Charlo vs. Munguia though? Is Benavidez vs. Munguia on the same scale as Tank vs. Ryan, even with Munguia's poor performance on 6/10?

Tijuana’s Munguia (42-0, 33KOs) At what point will he fight for a championship belt? 50-0?

He's already won a world title at 154 but since then his level of opponent has been poor.

Jim Lampley did a piece on Oscar a few years ago and it was basically summarized as a shame just how polar opposite his boxing career was from his promotions specifically as it pertains to fighters fighting the best out there. It is a shame how few fantastic fights he has put together
