Breadman was right. He was really mad about the crap ref letting all the low blows fly with impunity.

I do not know how many times we have seen a ref let a fight go too long. These athletes are trying to damage each other, the ref has only 2 jobs: Enforce the rules, and protect these alpha males from themselves. I would always rather see a fight stopped a little early than too late. I am not talking about robberies, obviously, I am talking about a fight where the action is fairly one sided and there is one boxer fading. If we all can agree that Williams was NOT going to find a way to win this, and I have yet to see that comment, the ref made a slightly premature but totally reasonable decision to protect a fighter.

            Yeah
I really liked it when the ref told Adames that he was spending too much time on the belt line or something like that.
Exactly how much is too much?

Breadman 0-2 this year! He know dammm well
J- Rock had nothing left and needed justification for saying absolutely nothing in the corner to rectify the situation.

Not to mention, the fact that for moments in the fight, some of these moments leading past a full minute, JRock wasnt throwing ANYTHING...

Let fights come to a clear conclusion. I feel refs err too much on the side of caution these days.

that is ******. this is big money sport. we need the very best well trained judges and refs. and if a fight should need stopped it should be THE RIGHT TIME. and if you can't do that, don't ref or judge fights. THESE THINGS MATTER. can't stand the "rather early than late b.s. how about knowing when the right time is, or your not good enough, don't be in the sport as an official. too many excuses these days. and pathetic arguments for inconsistent, incompetent decision makers.

As there have been fatalities in the boxing ring... Please just stop. The ref was standing right there, and every reasonable opinion short of his trainer defends the stoppage. The scores were hugely one sided, and the only effective punching doing damage was coming from one side. While you may be cheering for someone to piss blood for 2 days and have problems speaking late in life like Ali and so many of the other greats from "toughing it out" during one sided fights, I am glad we will see Williams have a chance to compete again as opposed to a ref letting the action go on to satisfy some of the more blood thirsty posters.

This ref was fine. I hope he gets many more top fights.
