2022 was matchroom a year? Huh? AJ lost twice to a middleweight and made a fool out himself on this mic canelo left after not one challenging fight out of 7 besides bivol Haney left egg Benedict out of boxing as a drug cheat how exactly was 2022 matchroom a year? I’m super confused by that statement lol. Not to mention the money they lost on the GGG and canelo contracts. 2022 will go down as one of matchrooms last

Did anyone catch hearn’s statement about now being able to make big no goby’s because he doesn’t have to spend the money on Canelo anymore? Do we understand the logic behind that statement and all it entails? Hearn actually said something extraordinarily astute there and I’m not sure folk processed the weight of that statement

The thing is PBC can always do this, that is why it's a little frustrating with the paths they give their fighters sometimes. I suppose boxing as a whole can always do this at any time so maybe they shouldn't be singled out( ie make the best fights).

The only issue with them right now would be: is SHO going to expand the boxing dates again in 2024? About 7 months into 2023 and PBC still has no other outlet.

Hope to hear some news on that front soon. Hard to build momentum for some guys who can't get back on SHO.

Example, Edwin De Los Santos, upset win over the "house" fighter in a FOTY candidate can't get back on TV for a whole year afterward. Nobdy is gonna remember that now, plus he has to keep that same form for a year or more when he could have at least had his face back on TV once during that time looking good, looking ring sharp. The guy he KO'ed came back quicker than he did.

A promoters stable of fighters don't always have to win.

I think being involved in promoting big and mega fights 'Is what also determines a boxing promotional companies success'.

Year upon year match-room are making big fights etc.

One would hope PBC spending huge amounts of money on Canelo this year, they have plenty left for their fighters who want to fight more than once every year.
