Williams was going to lose. He was hurt and getting hit with big clean shots. That was the definition of a stoppage where the ref is saving a fighter from themselves. Williams put up a hell of a fight but Adames just too strong with too good a chin.

Win or lose, I think retirement is a distinct possibility. He's old, chronically inactive, and he hasn't fought anyone notable after Castaño. MW is barren, and Garcia is potentially the last good payday he'll receive. Lara should beat Garcia, but I wouldn't bet on it. Isn't the fight supposedly at a catch-weight too?

J Rock threw one weak jab that didn't connect after getting tagged multiple times.Yet, the announcers said he was throwing punches before the stoppage. They're just siding with Edwards, who acted a fool. People play this guy up like he's the expert on boxing and is a great coach. I just don't see it.

Adames better work on his défense cause if he was up against a fighter with just a tad more power , he would of suffered his second defeat tonight

I always root for Jrock but that was a good stoppage - he and his trainer are in denial… he was way behind on the cards and getting absolutely ragdolled that last round by Adames. His punches had nothing on them by like the 4th round.

Hes a talent, crafty vet who knows what to do in there to stay with younger fighters, but Adames absolutely dominated him tonight.

Agreed. He's a good speaker and writer but other than the Hurd win, he hasn't done much in boxing. JRock, and Hurd for that matter, have been terrible since.

I was there live cheering for Jrock and he did better than I thought he would but he was getting rocked in that last round. You could argue the stoppage was early but the writing was on the wall.
