holyfield needs a payday. he was one of the biggest earners in boxing, but i think he was extremely prodigal and is now broke. he's been a shell of his former self way before the toney fight.Last edited by RingTech01; 10-01-2009, 01:36 AM.

What does Evander have left to prove?? What???
I read his book and I know he hates being doubted and believes he can keep achieving forever, but theres a line......I just hope and pray he doesn't get hurt.
I mean he proved the people who said he was too inexperienced vs Qawi wrong
He proved those who said he was too small to be a HW wrong
He proved those who said he couldn't come back from the 1st Bowe loss wrong
He defied doctors and fans by returning out of retirement from a heart condition and bad shoulder injury
He refused to retire after Bowe TKO'd him and didnt listen to those who said he was shot
He shocked the world by stopping Tyson
He hung in there with a much bigger and younger champ in Lewis
He won another world title after that
And since then he's had his licence revoked, regained it and continued to fight, and was robbed vs Valuev.
WTF does he have left to prove!! He's been proving people wrong since 1986 dammitcan't he just give in for once?

He does have a point, I read his book also it was good but he's also deluded. He has to remember that when he moved up the alphabet problem wasn't so bad as it is now (I think) and it was a more competitive division. Yes Haye's getting a title shot in his 2nd fight but the belts are worth even less these days than they were then especially the WBA and who else do u want to see Valuev fight, Ruiz?, Pacquiao is moving up and fighting Cotto for WBO belt in his 2nd fight (which is bollocks because it's at 145lbs, but that's another story). This kinda thing thing happens alot at the lower divisions, so why the uproar? Holyfield should've retired after Lewis schooled him............... twice.
