Comments Thread For: Joe Cusumano Drops, Batters, Stops Adam Kownacki in Eight

NEW YORK - Adam Kownacki has a painful--though logical--decision to make after he was dealt his latest defeat. Joe Cusumano entered their DAZN co-feature as a massive +700 underdog but scored an early knockdown and outslugged the Polish heavyweight to force a stoppage. Kownacki was down in the opening round and later out on his feet as his corner called for referee David Fields to stop the onslaught at 2:00 of round eight Saturday evening from Madison Square Garden's Hulu Theater in New York City.

The helanius fights finished him. He wasn't the most talented guy anyway lacked defense got hit alot in fights etc but now he's just becoming a punching bag. i saw something before that he said he doesn't really need to box because financially he's okay but he just wanted to prove to himself that he could continue but I think now he should know it's gone and just bow out and enjoy the rest of his life he's only what? 32-33 maybe. No point just taking beatings against Regional level fighters

Kownacki is not very bright and he has terrible advisor ( Al Haymon).

Adam should have been retired with two huge pay days ( Joshua and Chisora).

Now he probably even must fight on and become a trial horse, because he hasn`t made any big money.

Kownacki looked exactly the same as he aways has.., except his chin is absolutely shot. His face first defense is a huge detriment, particularly when you see how his chin has turned to glass. He used to be a lot sturdier but all the punishment he's taken has ruined him.

Sad to watch, i thought he retired after getting battered in his last fight, this time hopefully he retires for good.

Fun low level hw fight though.

A much more exciting fight than Berlanga / Quigley. Kownacki had heart in there, but no defense whatsoever and was basically a shade away from corpse status at the end. Time to hang em’ up.
