Immediately after I watched the fight the first time around I thought Joel edged JLC by a point or two. It has been a long time since I've seen it though. I'd like to watch it again.
I'd give the better resume to Casamayor...although I don't think either resume is that special...
It would have been a good fight. Casamayor was pretty crafty in there and wasn't mentally weak. I think the fact that he was a southpaw and had above average hitting power/hand speed would have troubled Floyd for the majority of the fight.

Casamayor would have gave Mayweather serious problems. I mean, Hatton wasn't a bad clincher but Joel would land his 1-2 before he tied you up.

I agree. I always thought it would have been a very intriguing matchup but it never happened .
I thought Castillo won but it was close as heck. Was just wondering when they overturned the decision - wasn't like it was a robbery although I think I remember the scorecards being strange in that one.

While I had it as a close but clear victory for Joel Casamayor, we should have atleast gotten a rematch. Joel didn't get his rightfully deserved rematchs against both Freitas and JLC, wonder what went wrong.

I definitely thought he beat Freitas. You know Popo didn't want to see him again. And I really thought Floyd should've went after Joel once it became apparent Freitas wasn't interested but he never showed an inclination to do so.

That is the one fight I would have LOVED to see, I can understand why Hatton/ Cotto/ Tszyu didn't happen at Jr WW but there was no reason for Mayweather vs. Casamayor not going down.
