Morrell Jr needs to fight someone - It wasn't 6 months back Benevidez hadn't either!
Who do you want him to fight exactly?
Why can't this self proclaimed Mexican Monster fight him and then have the winner fight Canelo. That way we can at least say okay he has beaten Plant and Morrell Jr and its harder to discredit Canelo should he win. You'll have to give him credit!
This is the problem here, you don't want that. You don't want to have to give Canelo credit.
Fans want to make out he ends Canelo's life and Canelo is running but they also love how they're in a position to backtrack and discredit him and don't say its speculation cause you's do it with most Canelo opponents. Everytime he beats someone, its discredited.
If Canelo beat him tomorrow it'd just be he is flat-footed, he only has one good win and Plants not even all that.
This fight is what boxing needs, fighters positioning themselves into mega fights through their body of work not sitting around hoping to win the Canelo lottery like Andrade does, like Charlo has like all these guys do not taking any risks just acting like a bunch of entitled little Princesses. Go out there, make a statement & separate yourself from the rest like an elite, hungry prizefighter that believes in himself should be doing!
Canelo fights these guys its a big fight but its just another fight. If they actually go out there and beat real ones, it ends up becoming a mega fight, potential legacy defining fights.
