Anyone else find these Floyd exhibitions getting really lamer and lamer?

I’m a boxing fan, so I appreciated him during his days in the sport. Tbh, I have hated him some days and I have supported him in some, just in between which mostly depends on the topic. But for someone who is considered one of the greatest in the sport, arguably the TBE, man these exhibitions are really getting lame. I get the points “he is retired can do what he wants bla bla bla” “he still makes a lot of money of out of it so its nonna my business bla bla”. But man c’mon.. dragging these nobodies.. looking like a loser still trying to squeeze every dime til its no more. It’s like watching a retired and old Michael Jordan playing against unknown street ballers then breaking a fight against them and for a few cents of his net worth… that’s just looks even classier.

I used to get it against the Conors and Paul’s of the world, I thought these would only be for mega events, but now it’s just whoever loser he can get to sign. I mean it completely looks like “I still wants to make money out of the sport but knows I can no longer compete in the pros so i’ll get these losers instead.” Maybe that’s okay, or maybe that’s just getting lame.

if he can find people ****** enough to pay him to fight these idiot youtubers or little japanese kick boxers more power to him taking advantage of it because they are ******

I sure won't stay up too watch them and will just catch it or the highlights the next day but I can't hate on it, it keeps him in shape and ticking over, he banks probably 25 mill just for a glorified spar that offers great comedic value.
Fair play too him.

The Gotti brawl, the fight with that Japanese schoolboy made me laugh for days.

Haven’t watched much of them as well. Then today I decided to watch his fight with this Gotti guy, and poof I found it so lame I suddenly had the urge to make a thread about it. Something I haven’t done in like a long time.

Nothing wrong with having an opinion about it I think, we can let him live and still think his exhibitions are getting lame. It’s not an either or world.

The exhibitions are just that - exhibits. They're for people to see him in the flesh, nothing more.

Im one of the biggest Floyd fans on NSB. I havent watched one exhibition other than the Conor fight.

Theyve been lame from the start imo. But hey, when you retire as the best in your era you get opportunities to earn money like this.

The only value I see would be giving lower level guys he promotes some air time.
