It's amazing that there are grown men who weigh 115 or less pounds. Lol

Did Franco look weakened? Big weight difference. And Japan's commission is bizarre. Wrestlers can't fight with tattoos showing, are super strict about weed, but seem to turn a blind eye to steroids. I didn't see this fight at the time, but from the comments I read I thought Franco had beaten Ioka. I agreed with the draw. Ioka was very defensive, while Franco seems to have missed most of his shots. This posture of the American impresses some, but it has to be taken into account that for the most part it was not effective. Ioka has reached his peak now it's all downhill, I believe Franco will surpass him this weekend. Considering how Ioka handled Rodriguez Jr and Franco with Maloney, I believe that both would not be able to handle the young Nakatani.

There should be stiffer penalties for such unprofessionalism.
Anyways, I knew that Mr. Clean looking dude at Garcias gym was an overrated S&C coach. I dont get how kettle bell workouts and jumping on boxes prepares you for boxing. The best boxers are always cardio freaks (inside and out of camp) which helps maintain weight. Nothing replaces running and jumping rope. Everytime I see RGBA guys, theyre jumping around like weirdos or swinging kettle bells.

Running 10 miles doesn't replicate boxing much apart that it strengthens the legs.
Boxing you need to have excellent cardio for 3 minutes - something like running 1000 metres at pace - and then excellent recuperation ability during a minute
So running 1000 metres at pace, stopping for a minute and repeating twelve times will get you there cardiovascularly
but you can do similar with kettle bells which will do for your arms and shoulders so you can throw punches non-stop for three minutes.
jumping on boxes will increase your explosiveness even when tired

And when you run for boxing you should do actual road work. Sprint to a light post, jog for a bit punchig, stop do some push ups, sprint, jog, stop and do crunches, do some burpees etc.
If you really want to be explosive do some navy seal burpees for an hour. Thatll build wind and explosion.
This is all my opinion though.SteveM likes this.

Another Robert Garcia fighter overweight. How many is this now? What's going on, are there food trucks parked outside the gym or something?

Sounds like Garcia was leaning towards cancelling the fight. I’ll give him and his team some grace here - sometimes guys grow out of weight classes just like that, especially down that low.
Still it’s crazy Ioka’s team is proceeding.
