Comments Thread For: WBC Head Responds to Errol Spence's Skepticism About Sanctioning Fees
Errol Spence Jr. apparently has an open invitation from at least one sanctioning body to have some of his su****ions about its finances allayed.

1. out of all of those jobs, how many are filled by your family, children of friends, family friends, in-laws, or just flat out people holding jobs kicking back up to those who hired them? This is the part they never actually get into.
2. out of all of those employees, how many are allowed to openly speak to the press on their own at their will to say anything they want. Zero!!!
3. we have programs for social help, cool, nyc is one of the biggest boxing cities in the world, in 40 years of living I’ve seen zero wbc community work, even among amateur fighters so where exactly is this social work being done? Can anyone on boxing scene say they’ve ever seen the wbc do anything in their state for fighters or just regular folks.
4. How much of said budget goes to flying first class or chartering private planes or helicopters. This is going to be the killer right here. I’ve yet to see a picture of Mauricio and his closest at any public airport terminal, ever….
5. out of all those employees how many of them have professional drivers being paid for by the WBC. Again, see question 4.
6. disclose all of the properties owned by the wbc by state and who occupies these properties when they are not in use. (See FIFA and Seychelles for how these organizations can buy mansions and put up their mistresses but call it official business properties)
I could be here for days pointing out just how easy it is to hide personal lifestyle choices among business expenses.
The question is .. why are there 4 sanctioning bodies taking money from the sport to do work which could be done better and more efficiently if there was only one sanctioning body?
Having 4 sanctioning bodies instead of one is clearly detrimental to the sport. If I could wave a magic wand and get rid of 3 of them, the WBC would be the first to go.
If Spence was any kind of a person who cared about boxing and not boxing as it pertains to him he could have asked some real questions like this....................
Why are we continually charging so much for so little in boxing ?
Why do we not in boxing listen to the fans although a small fan base when you consider other sports WHY do we ignore the fans concerns with boxing and how it ignores its fans ?
the list of questions could go on forever and a day but no this guy Spence is so full of himself and his money and himself he complains about percentages of fee's for the bodies he enbraces. Real radical there huh ? big man really standing up for the other guys ? Not really.
Well at least he talked about how drunk driving is a dangerous activity, that and PED's let outta here you jack rabbit dingo........
Yeah his answers don't show actual/estimated numbers so there's the real truth. Shout out to Spencer for poking the system. This sport will never be fair and righteous
What a bunch of BS from Mauricio Sulaiman! According to him the WBC, a non profit corporation, is the World Boxing Charity.
"50 employees just in Mexico", what a joke, who are they and what do they do?
Multiple Committees, how much are they paid?
The doctors, referees, and judges are not paid by the WBC.
If the "WBC is open" just post your financial statement to back it up.
No one should believe this nonsense, least of all Errol Spence and other high profile boxers.
Ok WBC, since you tried to shoot your wad. Let’s see if IBF, WBA, or WBO follow suit. All they are doing is opening themselves up to pure exposure….not transparency, exposure and their exploitation of the sport!
Errol Spence once declared that it was, "Strap Season".
And he used that as an excuse for the reason why he would save Terence 'Bud' Crawford for last, while ALL, he fought was his PBC stable mates and collect their belts.
Now, that he finally is facing Crawford, who has the only belt that he does not possess, he has started to diminish the value of ALL the belts.
Why, because he is on the verge of losing the belts that he has, so its time to try take away from their value.
This is just another bad look on his part, and just as bad as any and all of the excuses he's made while ducking Crawford.
For the most part it is a 50-50 type of fight, but, in my opinion, he is already starting to show cracks in his amour, opposed to Crawford, and is preparing for his first possible loss.
Itīs none of his business what the WBC does with their money. Does he say what he does with his? Any organization in pro sports charges a fee or they would not exist.( MLB, MSL, FIFA, etc). That being said, Sulaiman is a scumbag but he also helps African Americans more than anyone, even more than Mexicans. Charlo for example, has not fought in more than 2 yearsm yet has his belt. Paquiao and many others diddnīt fight in 6 months and they took their belt.
