  • Comments Thread For: Hearn: Ryan Garcia vs. Regis Prograis? 'We Can Walk Straight Into That Fight Next - F--- Oscar!

Just as Ryan Garcia and promoter Golden Boy were embroiled in a legal beef and 140-pound WBC champion Regis Prograis was in the midst of a lackluster title defense, Matchroom Boxing head Eddie Hearn fantasized about a fight between the two boxers.

From what I read, it seems like Golden Boy might lose that court case, but who knows.

A pretty good chance that they settle and Ryan and Oscar/ Golden Boy go their separate ways.

I can't understand why no other promoters want to work with Hearn...

Vergil Ortiz jnr, needs to watch out. After Canelo and Garcia, he's all Oscar has left to chase away lol.

"They’ve never mentioned Regis Prograis. Why? Because they think it’s a tough fight, and that’s what happens in boxing. They like the Rolly Romero fight. Why? Because they think they can beat Rolly Romero, but they don’t think they can beat Regis Prograis, and if they do, please call me, and we’ll make that fight next … There are loads of fights for Regis Prograis out there." - Eddie Hearn

Regis will fight Teo Lopez ASAP, Ryan Garcia ASAP, but Subriel Matias...Nah!

**** Eddie Hearn - If Garcia were Hearn's fighter, he'd be matching him with Romero and ignoring Prograis as well.

Garcia can get a title far easier by fighting Romero - and that's the name of the game when you have a young superstar.

Canelo showed a lot of skill and promise at a young age. What was his first title fight? Matthew ****in Hatton, who was not even a 154lber. Followed by a disgraceful string of defenses against old, blown up 147lbers.

Oscar is a ****in' mess but he knows what he's doing. Mungia is now rich without ever having stepped it up.... when he does, it will just be icing on the cake if he actually beats a champion.

I would laugh if that were to happen. Guys better get knocked out by stank so they can move up and get an undeserved title shot

They might chase Munguia away as well
