Comments Thread For: Derrick James on Anthony Joshua: 'You'll See a Different Guy'

Derrick James is confident that he will get to a satisfactory point with his new charge Anthony Joshua. The well-regarded trainer from Dallas, Texas, linked up with the former heavyweight champion from England earlier this year ahead of Joshua's fight against Michigan's Jermaine Franklin on April 1 at The O2 Arena in London. Joshua wound up defeating Franklin by unanimous decision, but there was a loud chorus of criticism in some sectors of the boxing world insisting Joshua looked timid and hesitant.

I don’t know what’s going on with AJ but it’s not nice.

Derrick needs to get the same course Spence is running and get AJ on that subscription minus the gyno, I feel like his current course is making him to slow and slugging, maybe some EPO or Boldenone to the mix.

if he avoids that swinging loaded up wilder haymaker he may able to press weight on him and tire him then take him out in the later rounds with some of Derricks “assistance”

Is James trying to talk himself and his fighter into reality?
As soon as he steps in the ring, Joshua šhits himself.

I'll give more respect to a man who takes a fight than to a man who retires rather than fight.

I respect AJ as well. He trying to fight guys he ducked before because of massive money.

A more aggressive Joshua or a more careful, defensive minded AJ? If he could be a combination of both, know when to do either, he'll be better.

There's also that much to work with, as he's always been somewhat robotic. He's never going to be Tyson Fury or a Mike Tyson.

So Wilder is a very strong favorite for their potential fight, just look at the responses in this thread.

All I know is? That Joshua is a more proven fighter capable of winning in mega fights.

Olympic Gold Medalist, Wladimir Kiltschko, Ruiz Junior rematch 'And regardless of how people mock his performances vs Usyk, Joshua was not ****** out and did put in a good effort during both fights' etc.
