It depends on if Williams tries to slug it out with Pavlik. If he does,you may be right. If he boxes and uses angles, he could give Pavlik trouble a la Bernard.

I have to disagree. Paul is good on the inside for a guy with such long arms. However, with an 82" reach he shouldn't need to get inside very often.

Pavlik hasn't looked that good for a long time. I'll give you that if he fighting in that fashion he would definitely be a problem for Williams, but his hand looked ****ed in that interview, he had surgery and has had this staph infection for along time. He stated he couldn't even punch yet, combine that with the substance abuse rumors and his devastating loss to Hopkins and it seems really hard to expect the same man in the ring with Williams. In those other fights he was an undefeated fighter, fighting at what seemed to be 100%. I never remember hearing rumors about injury before this. All i'm saying is that i don't know what to expect and Pavlik seems to be a little desperate to get a win and move past this injury and Hopkins loss. If he isn't 100% this fight turns out bad for him, he will have to be able to let his hands go to deal with the workrate and hurt Williams and if that hand is even remotely bothering him to the point where he won't throw it as much because it hurts Williams has him.

Williams has been conditioned to take power punches. He spars with heavyweights all the time. This is why he's never been down or even hurt in a fight. Pavlik would have to hit him with a perfect shot. I don't see it happening. Pavlik has no hope if he can't knock Paul out.
