Williams was getting beaten up by Margarito, a natural ww/lmw who only hits with maybe two thirds of force Pavlik does. Had it been Pavlik there in the ring that day, Williams wouldn't call himself champion.

Hopkins neutralized Pavlik's power by nullifying his reach, without his reach he can't sit on his punches. Taylor fought Pavlik from the outside so that gave Pavlik a lot of room to load up on his right hands and with his reach it even better. Williams is a very good inside fighter and has a nice uppercut. Pavlik is not a good inside fighter at all. I want to see what power is everyone talking about when Williams has Pavlik in the inside not letting him get off and not letting him sit on his punches.

lol. I think people get this idea of PWills advantages of height and reach against his opponents, and don'actually see how effective he is on the inside. Now, weather this tatic of "not fighting his height" is a bad idea against Pavlik, remains to be seen.

Pavlik actually loves fighting on the inside! And believe it or not he was asked by his trainer Jack lowe for years to please use his reach! Lol he would always go into fights and try to **** with guys on the inside... Watch the zuniga fight for example if you wanna see Kelly perform on the inside

That is what i like about this fight, the mystery about PWill and how well he will handle a guy his own size with power. who knows he might get folded up and ko'd in round 1 or he may win a lopsided 12 round UD and become MW champ....it depends more on him than anything and the answers to the questions about him.

Since when did Williams become Hopkins? I haven't even seen him show the skills that Taylor has. Only thing he has going for him is a solid chin, huge size advantage and an unreal workrate. Which is actually a great set to have but against someone who's naturally bigger? It's not gonna work.

Williams didn't fight Margarito on the inside, why would he fight Pavlik on the inside? All this Pavlik is a one dimensional fighter crap is overblown. Margarito is a much worse fighter and he gave Williams all he could handle.
