UFC is essentially a sanctioning organization too, but they take 70% plus, and people still defend them and fighters still sign abusive contracts with them. Tons of fighters have to work other jobs even though they're "professional fighters." If it's truly your profession, you should at least be paid enough to make ends meet.

Won't happen though because people still defend them. Got people on here who are perfectly happy to shill for the corrupt judges and say "it was a close fight, it wasn't a robbery", or blame the fighter because the sanctioning organization created nonsense like the "franchise belt" and quote lies from Sulaiman as if they're gospel, just so they can hate on a fighter. No meaningful reform is going to happen as long as there's people who refuse to call out the broken parts of the system. Dave Moretti has been screwing up fights at least since Sugar Ray Leonard v Marvin Hagler, and he's going to keep doing so because there's no consequences. He's not even being relegated like Ian John-Lewis.
