Comments Thread For: Wilder's Trainer Names Andy Ruiz as Potential Opponent Before Joshua

I don`t believe this. Ruiz is a dangerous opponent for Wilder, who won the last real fight back in 2019.

Wilder can`t afford a loss before Joshua pay day.

A fight that could have been made a year ago. Wilder has gotten uninteresting

On paper it's not a bad fight, but Ruiz has a lot of stuff going on outside the ring. If this fight happens I expect him to show up like he did in the second Joshua fight. I'd rather see wilder fight hrgovic. If he wins he's mando to usyk in a huge fight. Watch it end up being Martin....lol

Maybe Ruiz either didn't want a payday while he's in the middle of a divorce, or he overpriced himself in anticipation of half of it going to his wife... He supposedly demanded $20 mil to fight Fury, which is ludicrous for somebody that struggled vs Ortiz and Areola.

You mean that fight that got ordered by the WBC and both of you tried to not do it?

This is strange because 90% of this site claims that Wilder was ducking ruiz. So when Wilder was't fighting Ruiz he was ducking, now that he's a potential opponent, it's a cherry pick. Does that make any ***in sense??

I hear what you’re saying, but on fight night Wilder is still “must see TV”, so I think if he signs a fight with either Fury/Ruiz/Usyk/Joshua, fight fans are gonna be happy.

It is not a cherry pick, it is a dangerous fight. That is why I think Wilder won`t take it now.

                  Joshua fight is priority.

Only if Ruiz is in top shape. If not, Wilder will easily fly that head!
