I rated Aleem a tough opponent for anyone and expected him to break down the Australian fighter. I was impressed by Goodman, he was skilled, tough and had a motor on him; That jab proved to be a decisive weapon.

That was a very close fight and a highly entertaining one too. It doesn't matter who got the nod from the judges; Just so long it was a crowd pleasing and hotly contested bout which it was.

Close and very good fight. I have no problem with Goodman edging it, but those cards were too wide. Aleem dominated the first half and Goodman came on strong the second half. Aleem has to work on his late fight cardio and mental game. He fell apart a bit in 7-12.

Close, but vs a real somebody. Not place holding. That's what makes it quality vs comedy.

Fight was similar to Fulton/figueroa in terms of size dynamic and competitive, hard to score rounds. Different in Terms of style and less holding/wrestling.
Not mad that Goodman got the nod. But the margins of scoring were way to wide. No way did he win 9 rounds. It was Aleems blistering body attack and left hook vs Goodmans Jab and ring control.
Being so close to a title shot Aleem really gained nothing from taking this fight(I know it was an eliminator but he was already in position to challenge a champ), especially over the pond. So you've got to feel for him. But I think he'll come back better. He needs to add the jab and some other tricks.
