Benavidez to Canelo 'why are you afraid of me?'

'Whether it’s fear or some other issue that has made Canelo continually turn a blind eye to Benavidez pushing for a fight against him is unclear. In the past, it was understandable for Canelo to ignore Benavidez because he had bigger fights available to him against Gennadiy Golovkin. But now that Canelo is facing guys like John Ryder, and possibly Badou Jack or Charlo, it just seems like flat-out avoidance.

The money for the fight is supposedly there and David has made his case to be high in the Canelo sweepstakes.

Badou Jack brings a cruiserweight title. Historical achievement.

What the *** does Benavidez bring to the table?

Canelo would have titles at MW, undisputed SMW, LHW and now Cruiserweight.

Benavidez would turn into a bum overnight when Canelo knocks him out. Don't even argue this chit. This is a fact. Benavidez is a NOBODY and has beaten absolutely NOBODY

And if Canelo fights Charlo as is being discussed? He's even worse, and is totally unranked at 168. Benavidez and Morrell earned mandatory rankings. What's your excuse for him then?

            It's not gonna be Charlo.

I mean, at least it gives him more ammunition to shut people up about Charlo. So there's that. He needs to clear out the division though. That's the legacy part of fighting Benavidez is taking the supposed boogymen and turning them into nobodies again.

If he were chasing greatness and really thinks he's got the skill and power for any of the challenges he talks about, I'd have him clear those two out this year, then take the winner of Beterbiev v Callum Smith next year, and go into the Bivol rematch as the unified light heavy champ. Tall order, IMO, but I think that would be hard to dispute, although his haters will always have something to say.

It could be Nell don't think he's get much credit for beating you. Or that he thinks he don't need to fight toughest available every fight he's allowed to fight some easy touches first
