Called this a long time ago. Bivol has been very clear the entire time that he wants belts. He thinks he can take the belts at 168. Canelo won't risk that, because he knows it's a real possibility. Was saying that when people were trying to pretend that it was Canelo's idea. Should be clear by now that it wasn't, and that it would be ******.

It also removes the excuse that Bivol only won because he is bigger. He gave Canelo a shot at his belt, and he says, if you want a rematch, I want a shot at yours.

Anyone who thinks that's a duck from Bivol is flat ******. It was a power move the whole time, and shows that Canelo doesn't want the rematch at all, he knows he lost. If he really wanted to fight, Bivol says, sure, it just has to happen with your belts on the line. Now everyone knows that Canelo is scared to fight at 168, which just makes Bivol's first win that much better.

He knows if he loses at 175 lbs he can always fall back to 168 lbs and fight tomato cans cherry picking his opposition while avoiding benavidez. A loss at 168 would make everyone throw the size excuse out the window for bivol. Canelo would then have nowhere to go. Bivol literally just checkmated canelo.
I agree, but all that explanation is usually summarized as "because he's the A side bra!"

Bivol weasel ass wants an excuse if he loses and wants keep his belt.

Typic eastern euro always fuxkin up their careers by getting big headed and entitled. Fuxk bivol and his 5 fans who nothing more than just canelo haters.

RematchEs are held in the same weight unless you're a bitxh and want an advantage to suck the guy down.

Was the Canelo haters who were saying it was Canelo's idea to have the fight at 168 in the first place. I've been saying this whole time it was coming from Bivol.

The only twisting is coming from you. Bivol has been very clear about what his goals and motivations are the ENTIRE TIME. He's always said he wants the belts. He won the first time, he says it's only fair that Canelo should have to put his belts on the line this time. You are the delusional one twisting things. Everything I've been said has been exactly what Bivol has said directly, and he's been clear about it before the first fight ever happened. You are the one trying to twist his words to fit your Canelo can do no wrong agenda, and in classic fanboy style, you start by accusing others of exactly what you're about to do.

I've defended Canelo's accomplishments and choices in the past, but at some point, if you want to be objective, you have to call it like it is. For that matter, I was saying this exact thing defending Canelo against his haters in the past when they were claiming he was trying to weight drain Bivol. I said that it was coming from Bivol, not Canelo, and that it was way too dangerous and lose-lose for Canelo to risk a fight at 168. It's been a power move by Bivol the whole time.

The haters want to say that it's Bivol's pay day. He's said numerous times he's got money and he doesn't care about that and that he wants belts and he wants undisputed. There's nothing he wants from another Canelo fight at 175, unless Canelo can take the other belts from the winner of Beterbiev v Smith.

The issue at this point is that if Canelo's really fighting for legacy, he needs to clean out 168. He could do that in a year. If he wants legacy at 175, he'd do better taking on the winner of Beterbiev v Callum Smith. Then he'd have the leverage to force a Bivol rematch on his terms. If he wants cruiserweight greatness, why not take on the top guy there, instead of trying to weight drain the clearly over the hill 40 year old Badou Jack? Legacy has always been made by the best fighting the best. The choices he makes will define what sort of greatness he wants.

Well yeah, outside of Canelo ballsuckers, we already knew this.

Canelo knows he's at the end of his prime and in decline so he's cashing out.

If he loses at 168 all of you haters will say Bivol was drained

And he would be, he's never weighed 168 in his whole pro career.

Bivol and his team are capping the issue isn't 168 cause he can't make it, they'll happily take it at 175, its more money they want

Also put all that aside if you want, what most of you miss out is lets say it was at 168, Bivol would not be fighting for undisputed WBC have all ready made it clear about Russian boxers (i don't agree with their decision), they won't sanction the WBC belt for Bivol, not in a Canelo or Beterbiev fight anytime soon so your points are invalid about Canelo not wanting to lose all his belts to Bivol when he wouldn't lose the wbc...
