Unless Holt is offered a very big payday this is a fight Holt should turn down. He doesn't need to risk losing back to back fights. This is not good for his career. Let Clottey fight an actual welterweight.

I had Clottey vs Cotto down as a Clottey win. I mean, I don't know what more two guys have to do in the ring in order to get a re-match.

My su****ion is that because of his awkwardness and lack of profile he'll end up getting marginalised whilst the boxing media darlings (such as Cotto) cherry pick the best fights.

Nobody wants to fight Clottey. Berto should fight him but i don't think they would let Clottey fight him yet.

Only other option is Martinez at Jr. Middleweight but Clottey is a Welterweight and it's a bad style matchup for him.

The problem with Boxing today is that the promoters are
trying the best to make the most money and take the
least amount of risk for their fighters. Clottey should be
in there with another fighter in the division on his level,
like for instance Cintron/Quintana/Collazo. Why would
they try to beef Holt up to fight Clottey at 147? Cintron/
Clottey on the under card of Williams/Pavlik would have
been a great mix up and all familiar names. Mosley/Berto
is a great substitute for Mosley not fighting Clottey, plus
it helps Mosley cause to get closer to Floyd so thats fine
by me IF the fight happens. Clottey should be looking for a
significant win or a better promotional company that has
his best interest in mind because I dont think bob Arum
gives a rat ass about Clottey and or his career.

clottey is getting shafted..he should be fighting top level competition..but all the guys they offer arent...he should be fighting guys like cintron/collazo/quintana..instead they're opting to toss some nobody's or blow up a jr.welter to get in the ring with him..it seems like arum is just passifying him and secretly hoping that clottey shrivels up and withers away so they dont have to put him in the ring with their cash cows..lol...sucks for clottey and boxing..
