If he was a draw, he wouldn't be fighting in the theater at MSG. It only holds 6,000 people.

Plus his fight did less numbers than Haney vs kambosos did last year on espn

Not a lot of people cared to see Teofimo this time around. Now with this win, his next viewership will be better. Taylor had lost his previous fight in the eyes of many. This was a fight between two losers basically.

Lomachenko was coming off a wide win over Campbell, and Lopez was coming off a brutal 2nd round KO win over Commey. Two winners were fighting.

When two losers fight, usually not much hype. Unless they’re both very exciting KO fighters. Like AJ vs Wilder I think will do great numbers even though their hype is way lower than a few years ago. Everyone knows that fight WILL end up by KO.

Two actually did way more than this. Most of his fans watch on ESPN Deportes (Spanish) which isn’t counted and neither are the peeps who watch on ESPN+

Well, to be fair, Tank has never gotten numbers this good before.

And Ryan has a huge presence on social media. He’s like the Jake Paul of boxing.

Teo is not hitting all eight cylinders. Nobody believes this was the best Taylor version. Between the two, I got Catrell in the UK.

ESPN had zero promo for this until fight week. All things considered, pretty solid numbers.

Haney vs kambosos did more viewers than Teo.

                Just some facts for you
Devin was fighting the man and who beat the man. No one knows Taylor stateside.

If Teo is this year's record holder, so far, boxing is not in good shape.

Isn't ESPN factored into a cable package? I.e. free with a cable package?

I have not watched TV for about five years now I am ignorant on the current payment structures.

But if so, then one million views on cable TV ain't great.

We need a PPV monster to arrive; we need a Dempsey, a Tyson, or if you don't like monsters than an ideal, a Louis, an Ali.

One million views on cable is good news but second raters, like hockey and NSCAR can do that.

I bet the majority of those who watched this fight, were doing so to see Teofimo Lopez get smoked by Josh Taylor.
It just didn't turn out that way, because Teofimo proved that he still had at least one, if not a few more winning performances left in his career.
