As ai tech gets better you can have ai being able to feel fighter's body heat and sense a clean blow vs one that didn't land. Boxing then needs to go back to who landed the more cleaner shots each round wins the fight. No need for 70 year old plus judges anymore. The problem I see in judging now is judges are counting jabs thrown for certain fighters like haney that don't land and hit gloves as scoring blows. Nowadays you can throw a jab back up hit the guy on the gloves and it's a scoring blow.

They essentially tried that in the amateurs with the compubox system. It was far worse than the 10-9 system. -

It would be very interesting to see it done in parallel with the current system. Do that for a year or so and then make a decision.
My fear is that the folks influencing the outcomes of fights now, won't like it and will find ways to sabotage and discredit.Comment

It's not the judges as much as who pays the judges, and the commissions who scrutinize or lack of scrutiny that is the problem.Comment

maybe a crazy whacky system of judges on the night deliver a result but then over the next 2 days a forensic analysis takes place of all top fights, including the judges who scored ringside a 'final' result is declared, mistakes are made and things are missed, this way less of that happens as there is a closer double check of thingsComment

youll just get people who pay to rig the AI, changing the code so everytime someone like canelo hits gloves and elbows they count it as a scoring shotComment
