Comments Thread For: Canelo Alvarez vs. Badou Jack Negotiations Going 'Very Well'

Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez and Badou Jack are close to agreeing a clash for the WBC cruiserweight title. The Mexican is the current undisputed champion at super middleweight but could jump up to the 200lb limit to face Jack before the year is out.

This came for all the way from left field. I know they were saying that Bivol might not be next but Jack for a title in another division is a stretch. But not the first time the Canelo's camp explored a CW fight.

There's literally no one asking for this fight. Stop ****ing around and give the fans the fights that they've been asking for.

Not only is this choice underwhelming, Canelo may very well lose this fight. Bivol deserved more money in the rematch for sure but Canelo (as rich as he is) wasn't having it per ESPN Deportes. At least with Floyd "everyone got paid"

Wise move to Stay away from Bivol. If the loss REALLY mattered to Canelo then money would never have been a obstacle to the rematch. Canelo is clearly on a gradual decline, Saudis will pay big money to stage the fight, its another weight & title to add, badou jack is war torn fighter, much more winnable fight
