Wilder was unable to knock-out Fury, when really he should of in the third fight. Any all-time great puncher in my opinion, STOPS Fury after that first Wilder knock-down in the third fight.
My reasoning for this is? Fury was making unforced errors, and if only Wilder had more variation on his punches 'At the least he should of been decking Fury and hurting him real bad'.
Wilder has power you are correct. But don't be surprised if Wilder hit's Joshua, and Joshua does not disappear in that moment.
Everyone is just anticipating and expecting Joshua to disappear vs Wilder. Joshua has never legitimately been knocked out 'Joshua kept on getting up vs Ruiz Junior and the fight was waved off while? Joshua was still on his feet smiling'.
Anthony Joshua in his last fight was 255 pounds solid 'Fury is not solid at the weight'. Joshua's brute strength is also comparable if not greater than Fury's.
And regardless of what people say, outside of Tyson Fury and Usyk? Anthony Joshua is most likely the best pure boxer in the Heavyweight division 'Joshua is a very capable boxer from mid-long range'.
Joshua also has more proven punching power than Fury.
So all these points you are making about Wilder are good points. But until he lands this knock-out blow, the likely-hood is that he will be getting out boxed 'And hit by the biggest puncher he has EVER fought'.
People are overlooking the fact, that Anthony Joshua is the most powerful puncher Wilder has ever fought 'If that fight get's made'.
I still make the fight a close fight to call, but this fight is by no means a 100% certain win for Deontay Wilder etc.

Plus Josh is a better boxer. and I think Josh knowing how dangerous Wilder is at every point in fight josh will try to get wilders respect by landing heavy punches, rather than pitty pat punches. Pushing through with punch kronk style to disrupt Wilders immediate counters, this is why this is a good fight, it's dividing opinion.Last edited by hugh grant; 06-12-2023, 01:42 PM.OldTerry likes this.

If both wilder and Joshua take an interim fight before facing off, one will lose. They should go straight into their fight amd stop playin!!!!

I think Joshua can knock out Wilder but probably won't because he is gunshy. In order for Joshua to knock out Wilder he has to have a unique training camp. He needs to have a sparring partner who can knock his ass out with the right hand. Have him get wobbled a few times and learn to fight his way out of it. If he doesn't do this then he will fold as soon as Wilder lands something on him because Wilder will land that right hand. No doubt. Joshua needs to get cracked a lot in training camp to get used to taking punches and taking hard punches. I hope Wilder fights a mid level fighter and not quite a tomato can, because I don't want him to lose. Wilder vs Joshua will be a good fight.

They should both be fighting easy touches with that Saudi blood money on the line.mjh1969 likes this.

Also? It was only the first fight were Fury used his old school Riddler style.
Tyson Fury has not really used movement greatly in any of his fights since then.
Tyson Fury can be found inside the ring these days, Wallin found him, Wilder found him 'And even fighters who can hardly move like Whyte, could find him'.
I don't understand this notion, that Joshua is a static fighter? It is a myth. Are his movements somewhat choreographed in appearance? Yes. Which can make him appear slightly mechanical. But don't get carried away with this, Joshua as a athlete for me is a superior Athlete than Fury.
If Joshua was so static, if Joshua was so easy to find inside of the ring 'Why has he not been decked by many fighters? Why is it difficult to find images of Joshua smashed to pieces and ****** up? The reason why it is difficult is because, historically if Joshua does not want to be found inside the ring '90% of the Heavyweights in the game are going to find it very difficult to get to him'.
Tyson Fury in his last two fights vs Wilder did not rely on his movement to beat Wilder 'Fury relied more on his brute strength, inside game, resolve and Jab while moving forward'.
But I believe Fury had to fight this way. There has been a observational narrative, that was created since Fury vs Wilder II.
And that narrative goes like this 'How to beat Deontay Wilder, you must close the range. And force him to fight on the inside, were his power is less effective'.
But I don't think this is the only way to beat Wilder, for every fighter. But it was the best way for Fury, because Fury as a fighter technically is a clumsy fighter EVEN at his best.
Anthony Joshua technically as a fighter, is actually more text book compared to Fury. Also I have never seen Joshua make unforced errors for no apparent reason in a big fight 'Nowhere near as much as Fury'.
Fury in his third fight vs Wilder, early on in the fight decided randomly 'To square up to Wilder, and open the front door'. It was this unforced error which lead to Wilder decking Fury.
Joshua in his two fights vs Usyk produced very few unforced errors on that sort of level 'Joshua was just quite simply beaten'.
Skill for skill Joshua vs Usyk I & II was a extremely high level fight. Were neither fighter from a technical perspective was making very few mistakes.
Note: I just think when it comes to Wilder vs Joshua, people are overlooking Joshua's actual abilities 'Proven abilities'. I will admit, it is a extremely dangerous fight for Joshua.
Because there is still this legend and intimidation which surrounds Wilder's power 'And it is not only Wilder's power, it is also his aggression'.
But like I said? Everyone's focusing on how Wilder will effect Joshua 'Joshua will be the most powerful puncher Wilder has ever fought' etc.
