Well, Spence is obviously not worried, because he fought nobody since april 2022. So, I will not be worried for him.
Will Errol Spence’s inactivity (15 months) affect him like it did Josh Taylor?

Has he really been truly inactive? NO, because Spence Junior has been training.
So, ether the 15 months without no fights will ether effect him positively or negatively.
Sometimes fighters can take unnecessary fights, at certain stages of their career that does not benefit them.
I am sure Spence Junior has been consistently training, and working on his game 'Spence Junior has not been retired, so really he has not bee inactive'.
Wladimir Kiltschko was not inactive for 16-17 months before he fought Anthony Joshua 'Kiltschko had to endure three back to back training camps, due to Fury unfortunately continually pulling out of their rematch'.
Kiltschko was 240 pounds vs Joshua, compared to 245 pounds vs Fury 'And by his own estimations, Kiltschko stated that he was better prepared and in superior condition for Anthony Joshua' etc.

More than likely Spence will have great sparing with Charlo, Martin, possibly Garcia in his camp. That might help him tremedously and James is a good trainer.Comment

He will but it won't be like Taylor.
If anything, I suspect Errol will start off slow(er than usual) because of the ring rust.
Then again. he's stayed in shape the entire time out. So he could be ready to go.
But seen Crawford train? He's going hard for this match.Comment

Bingo. Spence is a dtunk and will lose bet that. But not by KO. 12 rounds. They both are P4p for a reason. No KO's in this fight. Heck I doubt we even get 1 knockdownComment

Not bumping to say “I told you so”, just to discuss this now post fight. I stand by my prediction where I thought Spence would beat Crawford (as I did when I made this topic). But I am interested to see people’s opinions on this matter now.Comment

I think it effected Spence and Taylor both. The same results may have happened but they would have been more competitive. These long layoffs can definitely hurt a fighter's timing and lots more. Take a damn tune-up for God's sake.Comment
