Dude I'm well aware that one can view something less favourably for a fighter they don't much like, but also more favourably for a one they do.

We my man, are at opposite ends of the spectrum there where Froch, and Calzaghe are concerned.

That's cool with me. I'm sorry though, you cannot say that most fighters whom have not long won a vacant belt then one defence mention and seriously, getting to the level of Roy Jones and Floyd Mayweather.

How can he suddenly do that when;

-He's 32
-Not that far from the latter ends of his career?
-There's no p4p guys in his division or that he's likely to face.
-Any that he could i.e Hopkins he'd be steep underdog.
-Guys like Floyd Mayweather and Roy Jones had achieved so much more with undeniable talent from an early age?
-He's not even favoured the best in his division.

It just doesn't sit right dude, ok. It just doesn't, and others have said as much and not in a pointless slagging way, so just accept that not all people see it your way. Sure he can dream, but if he meant it like you thought he coulda made that clear. He didn't, and doesn't a lot of the time. It's not a leap to suggest Froch really does think he's way way bigger than he is with a pick of just some of his quotes which are not I'm afraid so common of someone in his position.

calzaghes biggest wins were 32 years onwards....infact wasnt he 33 when he beat lacey to give him world recognition...

That's gotta be one of Froch's most ridiculous performances ever.

He comes out to a small press conference as if it's a stadium, with his manager screaming his name out, stood below his own poster and pauzes arrogantly looking around like some kind of statesmen.

Then in the interview he says it's not just about proving himself more as a champion but also in the pound for pound ranks as being up there with the best ever, Mayweather and Roy Jones.

Chunk FWIW I don't think Froch's an undeserving champion actually mate. He's a top SMW but will never be the best there or a p4p guy imo. Could happen but I don't think so. He has had some good performances and wins though, but I tend to feel as many do, he'll have at least one loss in this tourney. And yes I will put my money where my mouth is on that one.

He wins this tournament he should go into the top 10 p4p period as should anyone else if they win it..

In all fairness to Froch, if he beats Dirrell with something to spare he's already making a strong claim for top 10 P4P - maybe right up at number 10.

There aren't many fighters around at the moment who have fought and beat - consecutively - guys with the talent and ability of Pascal, Taylor & Dirrell.
