  • Seems that Teo is out of his slump. Que paso Taylor? Now Teo has some options for big fights.

    • Good perfromance from lopez, good counters punch and gets out of position, josh taylor was rushing too much, and didnt have the check right hook for the right hand , although both guys punches weren't knocking each other down or seriously staggering each other , that also surprised me abit.

      • As expected, Taylor one dimentional style will pays its toll when he face a talented fighter with speed and power. All he got is confidence thats it. He even think he can beat Crawford. But the fact is they isn't on same level after all...

15 months out, injuries, tough fights. It all catches up.

Then add into the mix he's now had 3 trainers in about 3 years. The only notable fighters his new trainer has had is Liam Smith who was a world champion before he had worked with him, so he inherited a good fighter. The other notable one is David Price, he was his trainer when he got knocked out plenty of times.

He just hasn't really been the same since he left Shane McGuigan. There's no combination punching anymore, that was his best attribute.

But Teo deserves all credit still. I just think whatever Taylor had a few years ago is gone.

I think the changing trainers frequently is probably a sign he's chasing something that he might feel isn't quite there anymore.

          • Well, that didnt go the way most people expected. I thought josh taylor was a champ. I didnt realize he's some tall lanky guy who wouldnt use range to his advantage, couldnt land anything, and just leaned down on his opponent whenever they got close.

              • Apologies to Teofimo, I doubted him for sure and thought Josh would beats him rather Convincingly and I was completely 1000% Wrong

Kid looked outstanding, some beautiful Counters just picked Josh apart all night and he had No Answer was just too quick for Josh

What is next? Whatever he wants at only 25 he has beating Lomechenko and now Josh Taylor, that is very impressive so time to start taking him serious it is up to Teo though to stay focus and consistent it won't get any easy from here

                • Another example of judges regressing to the mean when a given fighter starts to take a large lead. They give it to the right guy, but will give undeserved rounds to the fighter who is losing just to keep the final tally close, because its safer to have a close card. Thats Bad

                    Correct.

I had 2-2 after 4 and ended up 8-4 Teofimo.
Round 10 is easy to score. I gave another round to Taylor between 4 and 10, I don't remember which one.

Like for Haney-Loma, some people just don't score fights round by round.
