Exactly bhop won it clearly idc what people say. Taylor was hbo's darling at the time and they hated hopkins. Gift decision and he won the second fight though it was closer that time i had it 7-5 hopkins second fight and first i had it 8-4

The announcing was just dreadful that fight. To be honest, only Roy Jones called the fight as it was happening. Lampley was absolutely amazing that night. Worst case of cheerleading I've ever seen. And the way they cleverly put the punch stats together. After round one:

Lampley: Hopkins threw only 12 punches in the first, he won't win with that activity...Taylor landed only three punches but threw 33.
