Michael Hunter’s career has really petered out, he had built some good momentum after the Usyk loss (no shame in that) and should have stayed at cruiserweight to win a title there, which he was capable of. His conditioning wasn’t the best. It seems like he doesn’t love boxing, it’s just a job to him and he’s made a living out of fighting relative unknowns. I thought he lost the fight against Povetkin and he hasn’t really tested himself since then (2019).

Got to be a really hopeless boxer to stand 6ft 10 and have 3 losses in 16 fights as a pro and not be considered a contender of any sort.

I saw Donnie Palmer get KO'd in a round vs Joe Joyce years ago. Hopefully he's vastly improved since then, if he hasn't then this is a total mismatch.

Conditioning has absolutely nothing to do with Hunter moving to heavyweight.. the big paychecks are at heavyweight, that was the sole reason for the move up.

Hunter just made a horrendous business decision in signing with Triller, he wasn’t the only one, especially when he had a deal for an IBF Title eliminator and Matchroom on the table.

Hunter most recently has been fighting in that tag team boxing league at the Mohegan Sun.

This man threw his career away when he decided not to fight Hrgovic in IBF eliminator and rather moved to Triller fighting bums for a good money. Now he is where he is, a fringe contender nobody cares about.

Hrgovic scared this guy so much he’s fighting in auditoriums now against unranked boxers for years . Lol

Needs to be taking out of any logical top 15 , this is an example of why boxers get away with lingering in ranking systems .

I had completely forgotten about Hunter. His last fight was literally over 2 years ago! And he should've lost to Povetkin, iirc Pov scored a knockdown that wasn't counted by the ref.

Hunter took a bad route with some bad decisions. He could have been a contender but hard to trust his decisions will take him there. Time wasted.

At least he's being honest with himself. Haven't seen him hyped himself up saying he could beat everyone.
