It’s not too late for him to change that perception, but it all starts with mending his bruised ego and getting back in the ring and beating Wilder and/or Fury. Decisions against fringe contenders doesn’t move the needle, and it shouldn’t.
Out of interest, would Joshua be great if he had beaten Usyk?

And what happens when two great fighters fight? Does one stay great and the other goes back to being just good?

Personally I rate Joshua's last 5 performances. He was very good in the two Usyk fights he lost on points. Close to perfect for what was needed against Ruiz, dominant against Pulev, and the Franklin win was a bit of a walk in the park.

Joshua is at least top 4, probably top 3. I think he's being written off a bit too soon.

He might not be everything he promised to be but I think you'll see him be world champion again. And how he does in fights against Fury and Wilder (hopefully we eventually get them) will go a long way to determining where he stands in the era. He wouldn't be the first great fighter to get shocked once and meet a fighter who had his number. It happened to most of them.

Was Franklin vs Joshua a close fight? No.

Did Joshua win 95% of the rounds? Yes.

We get it, Joshua did not knock-out Franklin 'It was a satisfactory performance overall'.

But Joshua's was clearly not even out of second gear.

Tyson Fury vs Wallin was extending himself and going through the gears 'Still he could not deck or knock-out Wallin'.

Franklin & Wallin are pretty much the same level of fighter 'Franklin has pushed Whyte, and put in a commendable effort vs Joshua'.

Wallin really outside of his fight vs Fury, has beaten no World level fighters 'Therefore nobody can rate him as a World level fighter' etc.

Note: Joshua's performance vs Franklin overall was satisfactory. It would of been more concerning if he was hurt, or clearly going through the gears without causing significant damage upon Franklin 'Joshua for me produced a controlled and composed performance, and made the fight easy'.

Joshua throughout his career has made stylistically easy fights difficult for himself. This was because he seemingly had no idea how to fight a big man type fight i.e A big man type fight is the default tactics used by all great super heavyweights vs fighters with old school dimensions.

Anthony Joshua for the first time in his entire career vs Franklin actually fought a big man styled fight 'Solid jab, and he tied Franklin up on the inside and wrestled'. If Joshua could of tied Usyk up at mid-range, disrupted the action and wrestled 'The dynamic of that fight would of altered dramatically'.

So overall, Joshua's performance vs Franklin was not super great. But it was by no means a bad performance, Joshua won the fight in second gear easy etc.

Well said, bro. People always talk sh..t when it comes to AJ. It's just ridiculous.

The only respect another fighter needs to show their opponent is 'To prepare optimally and not cheat'.

The reason why Usyk is most likely supporting Joshua, is due to respect.

Joshua could of avoided Usyk, but instead he fought him twice 'And by the looks of it? Negotiations for both fights were straight forward, and Usyk was treated with respect.

Multiple Tyson Fury's former proponents do not speak very highly of him.

Wilder, Kiltschko, Whyte, USS Cunningham list goes on. But really mate, I don't really think a fighter should care that much if past opponents speak highly of them 'But I am just making a comparison between Joshua & Fury'.

Note: Anthony Joshua was clearly suffering in the aftermath of his lost to Usyk II. And to his credit he dealt with the consequence 'Himself'.
I'm definitely NOT your mate , let's be clear! ...You miss the point again , I do not condone those 'scenes' and this is the whole point of why so many people still discuss Joshua's disgraceful behaviour in and out of the ring that night. He completely lost the plot and for that there is no defence. Hearn signed Uysk ,(a great cruiserweight and still to prove he's a great heavyweight only beating Chazz Witherspoon , Chisora and Joshua to date!) for the simple reason he thought Usyk would make perfect opponent for Joshua , big name , small frame! That like the Ruiz fight backfired. You and your sort, always bring up Fury and his ******ity and crass behaviour as some kind of defence for Joshua , which alone is laughable and even more so that you don't seem to see it or choose to ignore it. Tyson Fury is a unpredictable , unbalanced clown and should never be allowed on social media for his own good but is the best heavyweight out there by a mile. His social media antics have given them another excuse to avoid a career and Saudi ending fight with Fury for the world title and his biggest payday to date and instead he can fight for the southern area title against a guy who is probably more shot than himself and never won a round against the man you seem obsessed to compare your hero to , but then go on to fight yet another Fury victim who was completely destroyed by the man .... And whose Mrs is your hero shouting about f.uckin ....
yet more disgraceful behaviour , he's a real class act your man !

I think Usyk is “great” because he beat unified his natural weight class and then dared to move up and challenge the “super heavyweights” of today and has continued to prevail. His HOF ballot os already filled.

We are engaging in a bit of a semantic arguement here but I reserve greatness for outstanding acheivements. Joshua has won fights he was supposed to win, and he’s also lost a few, while showing signs of gunshyness. I may reconsider if he can beat one of the top 3, but no, top 4-5 of this era, a GREAT does bot make.

Hearn didn't sign Usyk to make a fight with Joshua that backfired.

              Usyk was Joshua's mandatory.
