Hallelujah. It's a fight between two top ten heavyweights. Lots of boxing fans moan when the big fights don't get made. Then they moan when the big fights do get made!! If you like boxing then you should be happy to see top ten fighters, from any division, actually fighting each other, rather than what they normally do which is sc**** the bottom of the top 50 to avoid getting losses on their records. I'll definitely be tuning in for this one.

I don't care. More power to them. If it is free here in the US, I may watch. However, it is a diminished, mediocre fight. Neither man will be better for winning it, neither man's legacy any worse for losing it. Joshua will still be the bigger name and still be able to get the bigger fight afterwards. Whyte will always be a tier down when this generation's HW division is evaluated, a respectable career with some good fights where the bigger names always showed he was limited.
Whatever. Make it so.Comment

I would rather see Wilder verses Joshua, but Fury must know that Wilder KO's Joshua and a big money fight disappears. So, if Fury and Joshua will fight now it would be good for Fury and Joshua can fight Wilder next with Fury fighting Usyk next and cashing out. That's what a smart greedy man would do. Dillon Whyte doesn't need to be in the discussion. The HW scene is pretty pathetic at the moment. Fury looking to retire in a few years and looking for big money fights only. And to be honest, he has no big names apart from Joshua and Usyk. Usyk is not a big draw and is more worried a rematch than becoming undisputed, Joshua is his biggest money maker but Hearn will not allow Joshua anywhere near Fury.
I hear people saying Fury should fight this guy, or that guy. But Fury is nearing the end if his career and wants big money.
Boxing is in a pretty crap state, and the HW division has gone from interesting to a bore.Last edited by OldTerry; 06-05-2023, 02:00 PM.Comment

Looks like this is going to happen. Bit surprised as Whyte is one of Hearns few headline names left. After he loses this that's got to be it for Dill.
But with Fury not fighting and no date for Joyce is gonna be the biggest fight this summer in the UK.Last edited by Goatintheboat; 06-05-2023, 02:16 PM.Comment

When Joshua was going to fight Whyte last year the haters cried and said Franklin defeated Whyte , he then selected the Franklin fight and they said he ducked Whyte for a part time boxer , so…..
Here we are killing 2 stones at once .
