Comments Thread For: Bivol's Manager: Canelo Doesn't Want Rematch, Knows He Has Less of a Chance To Win

The negotiations to make a rematch between Mexican superstar Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez and WBA light heavyweight champion Dmitry Bivol are not going as planned. In May of 2022, Bivol derailed Canelo with a dominant boxing display to secure a twelve round unanimous decision.

if bivol fight doesnt' happen, and clenelo doesn't fight benevidez, you will now officially understand why he wants no part of the "mexican monster".

no reason that fight shouldn't get made.

The next 18 months of tainted beef career will be fun to watch. His Frankie Randall style beat down is coming. Fast.

Bivol should get a higher percentage of the purse than in the first fight, but he better not screw up negotiations by demanding 168 lbs.

Canelo always has a much bigger and more financially attractive option in Benavidez if Bivol’s team wants to mess around and act like they call the shots.

Bivol needs to stop calling Canelo and call out Beterbiev. Canelo needs to fight his mandatory Benavidez. 2 fights fans want to see. Bivol schools Canelo at 175. Canelo doesn't have power to hurt a young 175 pounder.

                He should be(Bivol) 55/45.
He loses to both Benny and Bivol

Neither. I don’t think Nelo wants the smoke to be fair.

"When did you hear of a fighter who, after losing, asked for a rematch on the same terms?" If Canelo's team doesn't want to budge, they really don't want the fight.
