I read this online,

That's great as long as the 2 operators arent Morretti and Cheatam types. I think AI needs to intervene and determine which punches actually land.
I'd like to see the AI be one of the judges and eliminate one of the humans. Or 2 different AI's and 1 human. I am assuming an AI can also calculate the speed and force of a punch and factor that in there in addition to punch count.

Racism and being racist is an arrogance assuming that one race is automatically superior or inferior than another - if you believe that then you have a mindset that will change your reality, change the way you lead your life.
I notice a person's colour or race just like I notice other physical traits; fat, thin, tall, old, young, happy, sad, angry, friendly, threatening. It all happens in an instant and is part of our defence mechanism as our foremost interest is self preservation.
I have to ask what is behind supporting a fighter because he is black. I could speculate but any conjecture or opinion would sound much better coming form a black person - not me. But my point is - I think it leads us further away from progress towards a totally non racist society. I don't believe that beautiful dream cant exist - it won't exist in our lifetimes but we should think about 100 years/200 years from now. And be good to all people anyway , as you say.

Geographically you have the island of Ireland which is politically divided. In he south you have the Republic of Ireland (Eire). In the north you have the country of Northern Ireland.

On the Island of Britain you have three countries. England, Wales and Scotland.

The UK full name is the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland

Wales - Joe Calzaghe
Northern Ireland - Mick Conlan, Carl Grampton Barry McGuigan

but Irish is used to describe anybody from the physical island of Ireland

But Conlan can correctly be described as an Irish and a British fighter

He wasnt born in Ireland. He was born in the United Kingdom.

I've been saying for years, the answer to boxing's problems is robot judges.

This is is exactly what Malignaggi said when asked about Devin Haney’s RACIST comment;

When you’re in your early twenties, you probably don’t express that very well. It’s not something that great to make racial (statements) in 2020, especially with so many racial tensions in the world.”

Then Malignaggi delved into dominance in boxing and how throughout history, it has shifted via racial/ethnic lines.

“Boxing has had its course in history with certain demographics dominating more than others, right?” Malignaggi said in the video. “Maybe like 100 years ago, Irish fighters were better. And then the ***s and the Italians came in. I think the African-American fighter became most dominant in the sport in the 70s, 80s, and even 90s.”

“…it’s not great to have the race discussion because it’s going to coordinate division,” before stating “it’s no longer the time of the African American anymore in boxing.”

“It’s (the Eastern Europeans) that has become the dominant species in boxing,” Malignaggi said. “I think stating something like (Haney’s statement) could be very dangerous.”

With that context, what exactly was racist about what Paulie said?
The issue here is the hypocrisy of Showtime. They fired Paulie because of misplaced public outrage but they allow the racist Haney to fight on their platform. This is pure unadulterated hypocrisy. If they are firing Paulie then they should fire Haney.

Lastly, where are those outraged people with their misplaced anger on Paulie but dead silent on Showtime and Haney.
