How Manny Achieved So Much Despite Not Being the Most Skilled Great

Some say Alvarez is as skilled if not more skilled than manny

but manny is 2 or 3 levels beyond Alvarez as a fighter

manny had fights where he destroyed GREAT opponents

Well #1 he is highly skilled.

#2 he's extremely gifted and talented from an athletic standpoint.

    I'd say that's why.

    Also, great chin, great stamina.

manny pacq was a physical phenomenon

      the most since Roy Jonez

once manny started to fade later in matches starting in the Broner fight

I knew he was nvr going to be the same

He was approaching 40 by then so that's no surprise.

If anything, that shows how skilled he was, to have that kind of longevity after his gifts declined.

I was surprised when Keith was schooled by manny

even the biggest p@qturds didn’t think manny would have that kind of longevity

Canelo is greater than Pacroid and Froid.

But, Pacroid is greater than Froid as well.

in other words he so and so when it comes to convincingly beating good opponents

The way he fought required literal skills.

Skill definition: The ability to do something well (google).

Moving your feet laterally to avoid opponents punches: Skill.
                Handspeed: Physical skill.
Punch combinations with good form and different angles: Skill.
Sitting down on punches to make them stronger: Skill.

                Just to name a few.

And to emphasize on handspeed, no this is not just “god given” skill. You can learn to throw fast, it is a learned skill. The thing is, if you’ve stood in front of a mirror shadowboxing, and try throw as fast possible for the first time, you might look like an idiot. That’s because you have to practice proper form when you throw these fast punches. Which requires learning and developing that skill. You can’t just throw a 5-uppercut combination, you have to mix it up, and that requires skill.

That’s a big stretch. Most people don’t know how to score a fight, or score a fight with their heart, not their head. Canelo was hated way before his big fights. Canelo was already hated coming into the Jose Cotto fight. So, many of his critics score his fights unfairly.

Canelo having a controversial decision in every other fight: Out of curiosity, which one’s?

Trout, Lara, GGG, i’m sure, these are the one’s his critics go to. Which other opponents? If it’s every other big fight, that’s a lot since he has 63 fights.

Regardless, you just insinuated Pacquiao isn’t a very skilled great, when he clearly is highly skilled. He even has past greats saying that. That’s a very suspect thing to say for a person who presumably watches a lot of boxing.

                    Levels:

                    Roy > Floyd > Manny > ODLH/Alvarez > Cotto
