You do realize that Cotto's first 10 opponents combined record in their 6 previous fights leading up to their fight with Cotto was 17-33-1 don't you?

See how misleading numbers can be.

Every top prospect starts off their career fighting bums. It's how the business has molded itself over the last 25 years. Why not look at the obvious, that Porter was a stellar amateur.

We'll find out what will happen to his next sparring session. Pacman improves a lot and increases his speed on his next spar unless his not in the mood to fight.

Porter is a good prospect with a great amateur record and an excellent sparring mate for Pac.

Depending on who you favor Par or Cotto, fans are selling each fighter short.... "Cotto is to slow" or "Pac can't hurt Cotto". Cotto is not as slow as pac fans might think, and Pac has enough offense to hurt cotto.

It's not a foregone conclusion; this is a pick em fight. No matter who wins, it's a win win for the sport and boxing fans.

I remember Bob Arum said when manny was still fighting in Junior Lightweight that Manny can fight anybody in his weight class n he will surely win but not cotto cause they're on different (heavier)class. But now its amazing that they will be facing each other. The only reason is manny is not only winning, he is demolishing his opponents on different weight territory. Again this will be an impossible for manny to win but will be possible for him. you will see. Just believe.

Speed is power. Mosley's speed is diff compare to Pac. Likewise the style. Mosley is pure a brawler while Pac will brawl too if it is needed. Pac is more technical than mosley. Why would pacman brawl against Cotto like mosley did? We all know that Cotto possess a lot of power. This will be a very tactical fight for Pac.

Pacs punching power is getting uberly underrated these days. Hatton is one of those who under estimated Pacs power because Hatton is a natural JWW and that Pac is too small for him, in the end that cost him dearly....

hatton was hurt and almost KO by collazo. it doesn't take that much....

Honestly though, who other than Paulie has not been able to hurt Cotto?

It is going to be a great fight but I believe both fighters will suffer bad cuts in the fight. I think Cotto could get stopped on cuts. Manny throws so many weird angle punches that are prone to cutting his opponent. Then again, Manny could get KO'd by 1 big Cotto punch. This is why it is going to be the fight of the year!
