I'm just worried about the "Tarver effect". Jones goes up to Cruiserweight, then has to weight drain to come back down to fight Hopkins. It cost him a lot when he did it to fight Ruiz and then come down to fight Tarver.

Of course, every person in the history of boxing fandom seems to forget that Jones beat Tarver the first time...

This fight is essentially meaningless. Had they met shortly after their first contest at 168 or 175 when Jones was in his prime, Jr. would have f---ed Hop's couch.

Roy said he plans on staying light at CW... 180-185, so he will be fine should he go back to LHW.

Also, I would assume that since Roy is grabbing the CW strap that Hopkins would move up to fight him for it.

bernard will most likely lose! he always struggles with fighters who have fast hands and some mobility. I.E. Jones, Taylor, Calzaghe.

Now roy has lost some mobility which makes the fight interesting, but I think Roy still beats him. Roy owns hopkins....60-40 and i whoop yo a$$.

the weight won't matter. Roy has knowledge of what is like to go up in weight and then back down. so he'll keep light for cruiserweight and big for LHW.

I wish Roy all the best, hope he beats Greene and probs will though not easy. His comments on Greene and Hopkins just don't seem particularly well thought out or to be making much sense though.

He's describing Greene being strong and quick, hitting him hard - as being a plus for himself as it'd rattle him and he'd KO Green back. Odd thing to say given speed, pressure, strength and some good tags has beaten him before.

As fas as Hopkins, beating him with one hand and beating him years ago. It's like he's just seeing the climate and times as well as most do.

At his age and level now, he needs both hands and a good all round game to beat a Hopkins whom is not past it and is fairly different to how he was when he originally beat him.
