He wont. Benavidez is a KO risk, which is humiliation. Bivol is not a big KO risk, and everyone expects him to lose anyway. Canelo risks nothing by fighting Bivol.

I think Canelo beats Benavidez. He’ll definitely outbox him early. Benavidez will likely give him hell in the late rounds but he ain’t getting a decision unless he wins around 9 rounds. Just look at the Bivol scoring.
If he takes the Bivol route, and he will, I hope he goes in like he gives a toss; it doesn't mean he'll win, but his performance was so laconic last time, it's like he didn't even care to try anything different. At least Bivol put on a good show. If Canelo steps up his game, I'll commend him then.

I know he has a high KO ratio, but most of those were stoppages rather than straight KOs. He doesn't possess that one punch KO power. His volume is excellent, but I don't really see Canelo standing around to let him unload - at least if he doesn't gas. Benavidez is a much easier fight; he's a come forward fighter and that's right up Canelo's alley. That he chooses to get outclassed again by a more technical wizard in Bivol, I'll never understand.
